I love Laurel and Hardy. :-) I love watching Ollie pulling the next scene across the screen as he is leaving the house. I have never seen anything like that before, not even these days. Stan and Ollie are the best!
Anybody see the blooper??? She paid the man for the furniture at the house. Then she asks the shop owner at the auction house, "did he pay you for the furniture?" She asked him twice.
@Handiman544 no blooper. The first payment is for the rent. The second she refers to is payment buying all the furniture. Its clearer if you watch the whole episode.
Comic Genius. No profanity, no sex just pure Laurel and Hardy. This(Thicker than Water 1935) was their last 2 reel short after which Hal Roach decided to devote them to features only. Bad choice on his part, I think Stan and Ollie worked best in the 20-30 minute film format.
Oh, it's such a real pleasure for me to watch this video, Sir.
This is the first time, I can see a video of Laurel and Hardy in the original American version. I only knew the German sync, yet. And I wonder how clearly they spoke! I can understand every word very well! :)
You mean..."steal" from the past, don't you? The real genius' are gone..we are left with imitators. They get away with it because most young people today haven't a clue about what is new or used comedy.
The actor who does the voice for Homer Simpson said that he got the idea for doing his "Doh!" from James Finlayson's oft "Dohh!". Always pays to borrow from the best.
Thicker than Water has to be one of the best almost written as if it was for TV, It could have been one of the insperations for Eric and Ernies Flat sketches, Jimmy Finlayson at his best,, You gave it to him,, and he gave it to her,,,, dddooohh your all nuts!!!
@AHandsomeman With the inclusion of Jimmy Finlayson, this short just rocks after so many years. (You gave it to him and he gave to her and who gave it to what---LOLOLOLOL).

@Handiman544 -She pays the weekly installment that was due---not 'whole amount' that she was referring to at the shop---so there is no blooper???
