I have fired the mosin nagant up close and the bolt is WAAAY slower to operate!

To get this kind of speed you would need to smack the bolt w/ a pipe wrench!

The guns are just not that smooth, the bulgarian ammo was fine.

Arisaka's are a dream when it comes to bolt operation, smoother than a Remington..

@dukenukemthreed The rifle is as slightly slower to operate than the mauser action but its not an unsmooth or even slow action. Most of the problems with it come from people not cleaning the cosmoline out of the chamber, if you screw the firing pin in a bit too far it can also the the bolt hard to open.

Well If you custom polish the bolt or inside the receiver you can work miracles, the smoothest mosin's are going to be made after WW2 though.

nice job, but i am just going to comment on this game. the multiplayer for this game was just god awful. literally everyone would run around with a mp40 with dual mags never looking down the sights, you know stuff that shows you have skill? and just spray 100 bullets which is bullshit alone because a submachine gun shouldnt have 100 shots to it. the thing took 2 shots to kill someone it was just bullshit and thats all i got to say about that.

I just bought a 1929 Mosin-Nagant M1891/30 and i've got to say i LOVE it!! but i was expecting more recoil....they call it the "Russian .30-06" but i've been shooting 180 grain full-metal jackets through it and it has about as much recoil as my .270 does haha

@farmerboy245 The recoil really isn't bad at all with the full size Nagants because of the weight. If you actually tighten the stock against your shoulder it doesn't do any kind of damage at all. However, if you hold the gun with the stock half an inch away from your shoulder, expect to be punched pretty hard.

Mosin-Nagant is BEAST!!! Running around with a bayonet attached you don't even need a sidearm. If they're too far away for the bayonet, they're close enough for the Mosin. I hope they bring it back in Black Ops (even if it's unlikely).

@bravebow i used to have a wii with this game, it was horrible. there was like only 5 game modes and they were are free for all, tdm, hardcore tdm, harcore ffa, there was no objective game modes at all. the graphics were god awful, the controls are annoying as hell on the wii, and there was like only 6 online maps no zombies at all, and the funny thing is when i went to gamestep, the wii version of waw costs more than the xbox, ps3 version. @Ohyewildthong The "aim snap" ability that is taught to the player in the beginning of CoD campaigns only works in the campaign mode. It would kind of defeat the purpose of playing if all you had to do was hit LT whenever you were aiming anywhere close to someone. Online only has "aim assist" which very slightly tracks moving enemies and lowers the sensitivity when you're aiming right at someone. BTW I would hardly consider this guy's playing "run & gun"...
