HELP!recently I bought a Maya 44 soundcard. I also got myself some timecoded vinyls (Scratch Live), and I have been trying to get them to work with any dj software. Ive been trying to set it up with traktor and it reads the signal perfectly but when I place an actual track on traktor, it is not triggered by the timecode. I Use a Macbook Pro andthe soundcard in traktor is (core audio) not (asio driver). The inputs apear as 1- front left /2-front right /3-Maya usb in 2 /4-Maya USB in 3, Any Idea?

umm, i don't know what your trying to accomplish, but maya 44 is just a recording card that goes trough the tractor sound card and mixer. it is not the same as using serato or traktor sound card. the time code vinyls are to be used with serato if it's a serato sound card or traktor vinyl if it's a traktor sound card. you can not mix them. as far as the software you can use traktor software on the SL1 sound card, but not the other way around.

not really, indeed u can use maya for sound interference sound card and use timecoded vinyls. It works on virtual dj, you can use serato timecodes with maya 44 on vdj but my vdj isnt working very well cause i havent been able to update, so i thought there was a posibility of using traktor with another brand soudcard but i found out traktor is only compatible with native instrument soundcards but thanks anyway

Unless you have Traktor "SCRATCH" Pro, the program wont let you play any tracks. You need to buy the DVS plugin that comes with Traktor SCRATCH. Try to avoid cutting short cuts with cheap soundcards. Traktor was made to work flawlessly with its own software and hardware (ie audio 8).

How can any of you actually think Serato is better??? Traktor has half the latency, 4-deck playback, 20 effects, better sound quality, supports MIDI, and not to mention a waaaayyyyy better and more vesatile sound card!

@xfp21 a lot of ppl dont like the GUI of traktor, or the 'make everything easier' phylosophy that NI has. also, serato has MIDI, and in fact mapping a controller in serato is unbelievably easy compared to traktor

If you want effects then get serato and update your mixer to ddm4000 or get an external efefcts unit like a kaos pad etc. Serato is pure and its better that way.

there is a program called camstudio and another calles camtasia.that you can use jhonatan if you want to record your screen. i hope this helpe you. bye and keep it up.

hm i opened the box, plugged it, installed it and configured it in one wash up wihout problems ^^

but i have to say im a software engineer so i dont have any problem with setting up and configuring :p
