I was curious about Lime Crime and if she still had drama after all these years. It's sad that she still does. This has been going on for 10 years, after she started treating people horrible. Unfortunately, drama will always follow her. She brings it on herself.

Hi! Yep yep, Mum bought the dress for a christmas present for Lyddy! It was really funny at the time, but not funny when she insulted Mum. My stomach is literally in knots right now. I've followed Xenia since I saw a video highlighting her shadows about a year ago. I adore her blog and have been following it ever since. I got a couple of her shadows through ModCloth since I was already placing an order, and I was pleased with them, but not blown away.
Lately I've been hearing more and more bad stuff about her. And after being such a crazy fan of hers for so long, I am so disappointed and torn. :\ I hate this kind of thing!!
I'm sorry this whole thing has upset you so much. I can empathize because years ago i was sort of a friend/fan of hers and then as she began doing dodgy things, culminating in calling my mum an asshole i was really quite upset that someone i had believed to be such a sweet, nice girl could really be so harsh. Actually she has deleted the comments attacking me, but in my mind i actually don't approve of it. For one thing she has deleted the original link to my blog post about the duct-tape-dress-fiasco. And also by deleting Mary's attack on me i think she was just looking out for herself again because people were defending me, and in doing so reading what i had to say. @pullthetrigger How does that have any relevance at all to this discussion? There are some thoughts that you probably should just keep to yourself, and this is one of them. I can understand letting weird and somewhat insulting things slip out when you're actually talking, but when you type, you actually have a moment to think about what you're about to write.

you or anyone else to boycott lime crime just because she was nasty to me once. Lots of other people have problems with her company, and like i've said i'm trying my best to be fair by not simply believing the new accusations against her and instead trying her shadows myself. I guess you and me have different ideas about what makes great customer service, and again that's fine, you're entitled to love whatever brands/blogs/people you want, but that doesn't mean everyone else will.

Thank you for your comment. It's hard for me to reply to you because i have had such a bad experience with her i can't help but be biased against her. What i will say though is that i am certain her lipsticks (if that is what you are interested in buying) are not repackaged and have had mixed reviews, some very good, some very bad, but it was very odd that she threatened to sue someone for posting a bad review of them. Just for the record, i do not justify her insulting your mother or selling that dress which wasn't made properly. My comment is just related to the pigments being the same as other ones.
But have you looked at the comments on the youtube channel? Some people have said really nasty stuff about her. I do give you credit for not insulting doedeere too, but trying to solve the matter in a better way ;)

I really hate the insults people have been laying on her, i don't like her because of my experience but i certainly wouldn't go so far as to call her ugly, mental, etc etc. I completely understand why people are fans of her, and have no intention of telling anyone that they shouldn't buy from her, i just think the information should be out there.

Could it just be a coincidence that some pigments (in this case Lime Crime) look like other pigments in the enormous make-up buisiness? There is just so much make up out there, that inventing never before made colours is nearly impossible! When one searches hard enough, one will always find really similar colours, from which brand doesn't matter. And as long as doedeere makes reasonably good stuff, what are you complaining about?

Well you see it could be a coincidence but basically it's been found that her colours are absolutely identical to the tkb colours, and it seems a bit too much of a coincidence that her shadows should be not just similar but identical to wholesale micas that can all be bought in the same place. It's not that the colours are similar, it's that they are the exact same, but priced so much higher. currently available. Even if it turns out that they are not repackaged, that is clearly untrue. Also it is not so much the problem that she repackages, it's that she lies about it so people end up buying the same exact product twice. Having said this, at the moment i'm experimenting with lime crime samples and tkb and the results have been interesting so far, i'm making a video about it that should be up soon.

that's awful of that person to attack you with comments about your weight!! I've personally been through that, girls that have nothing more creative to say just go straight to that. you are gorgeous as you are, and those people don't know anything, they need to mind their own business.

Hi! Yep yep, Mum bought the dress for a christmas present for Lyddy! It was really funny at the time, but not funny when she insulted Mum. Even if she hadn't had such stupid business tactics before i'd still be suspicious because of the amount of evidence supporting the repackaging rumours. There's no smoke without fire.

It seems like Xenia has grown up a lot and is more responsible for her actions. I'm glad she stuck up for you, and I understand her wanting to stick up for her company. But I just don't feel comfortable trusting her anymore, and I won't be buying anything from her ever again.

Thank you so much for calling me lovely. I guess i just got a bit angry at Xenia again when she posted that video because she was saying anyone with a complaint against her was a 'hater'.
I do think she has grown up, but i'm afraid i still can't believe her story about making her eyeshadows yet (someone is sending me some Lime Crime samples and i'm going to make a video comparing them to TKB).

My stomach is literally in knots right now. I've followed Xenia since I saw a video highlighting her shadows about a year ago. I adore her blog and have been following it ever since. I got a couple of her shadows through ModCloth since I was already placing an order, and I was pleased with them, but not blown away.
Lately I've been hearing more and more bad stuff about her. And after being such a crazy fan of hers for so long, I am so disappointed and torn. :\ I hate this kind of thing!!

I'm sorry this whole thing has upset you so much. I can empathize because years ago i was sort of a friend/fan of hers and then as she began doing dodgy things, culminating in calling my mum an asshole i was really quite upset that someone i had believed to be such a sweet, nice girl could really be so harsh. Now it just seems like the persona she presents to the world is completely fake because she just keeps doing the same shady tactics again and again, just in different businesses.

Actually she has deleted the comments attacking me, but in my mind i actually don't approve of it. For one thing she has deleted the original link to my blog post about the duct-tape-dress-fiasco. And also by deleting Mary's attack on me i think she was just looking out for herself again because people were defending me, and in doing so reading what i had to say. And also because Mary was making her fans look bad.

I don't believe that you did anything wrong, and I certainly don't believe that you were rude. I enjoy visiting Doe Deere Blogazine, (I'm a sucker for bright colors) and have always enjoyed the content because on her website from what I've seen, she tries to keep everything positive.
Having said that it was disturbing to see the malicious attack on you as a person! You were polite in your review commenting on your experience, never stooping to vulgar or impolite language to describe Xenia.

I will admit that if i hadn't had this experience of Xenia and been around through the charity scandal and so on i'm sure i too would be a huge fan of hers. I really like her aesthetic. But knowing what i know it all just seems fake and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You did nothing wrong by voicing your opinion, and i am really glad you did because now other small companies that were repackaging have been caught out, and have now admitted it.
Unfortunately, if you stick up for what you believe in, or do the right thing, or even just speak your mind, the majority of the time society will dislike you, i dont know why that is, i guess people dont like to hear the truth.

It is lovely to see places like BFTE and Aromalleigh saying they're going to stop repackaging entirely, and they were truthful about it for a long time before.
I think some people genuinely think that Xenia is an angel, and actually believe anyone criticising her is just jealous. I can understand the truth is sometimes hard to hear, but personally i'd want to know if my idol was lying to me!

Oh i quite agree. I love how holding up a bag of samples constitutes 'proof' in her mind :P Also the video of her 'making' her eyeshadow is basically exactly the same to one made by TKB trading showing you how to 'match' an eyeshadow. Someone is going to send me some Lime Crime samples and when i get them i'm going to make a video comparing them to TKB.
