Hey this tune is sick, Please check out the intense sounds of DIRTY BEARD the sensational British blues stoner rock band on DIRTYBEARDTUBE and for a limited time receive the Dirty Beard album for free! just email dirtybeard@live.co.uk
There is a backward message at 1:40 right after "This place will bring you down more than you'll ever know". Can't quite figure out what it is. "Ice splitting through" something"
or "I'm splitting through" something.
Any thoughts? I've got the reversed sequence posted as video response. (links are not allowed in comments?)
This is a phenomenal song. Just one of so many they've put out. How dare anyone call it Christian Rock. Just cause a word like God and Judgement Day appear in it, doesn't make it 'Christian Rock'. Long live C.O.C.
This band is criminally underrated. How about a new album and tour guys? I'm eager to give you my money. You deserve it a lot more than these scene boy posers hiding away in their multi-million dollar douche caves.
COC aint a jesus band. this song is bout the filth of New Orleans and Pepper standing on the banks and wishing the levees would break and wash the city away... THEN CAME KATRINA!!! and it actually happened. Pep is a prophet!
I can probably make another video like this one for it. I have this album, so I have the audio track, I just have to put the video together like I did with this one.
believe me when i tell ya this. pepper wrote this song about the dams of new orleans breaking before it actually happened. cos he lived there. weird that in it
the apocalypse is nothing more than a great awakening ... i believe it is when mankind becomes fully concious ... we are clearly not concious now ... .anyone wanna argue about it ... if we were concouis we wouldnt sign our children over as property and we wouldnt be called chattel by the elites who controll the secret societies ...
but i guess as a whole mankind is in a state of madness right now ... we are killing our own people , we are killing our own planet ... and we are polluting our own minds
"And 'Wodan/Vodhinn/Vodin', ancestor of humanity, climbed & hung himself upon the highest boughs of World Tree/Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil/Light & Dark/The Left & Right and wounded himself, given unto himself, sacrificing himself to himself, to learn the secrets of the Words of Power, of Creation, suffering the harrowing heights & all the sights that came unto his Mind & Body...
This and world on fire are the best songs.
Just heard in the arms of god recently and it is a really excellent album.

Interesting that you would post this...A roommate of mine about 25 years ago was one of the people that started this band.
His name is Tom Nusbaum (not sure on the spelling), we called him "Napalm".

Son of the Morning Star
has many meanings... a small book in itself.
Don't forget that Venus is, contrarily, also the Evening Star...
It's also a "curse"....

i see im talking to a fellow idealist

I've seen enough of the world & my thoughts to know that anything that can be conceived is possible...
And most likely in existence because of that fact.
We're here and don't know exactly the how or why...so how can we possibly believe we know the Truth....
My opinion's just a grain of sand in the ocean... : )
HallowedHoly 2 years ago
The Truth would "blow our minds", literally.

...and, after traversing the '9 Worlds' of that Tree of Knowledge...
...knew the Truth, the circle of 10...
...and, shrieking, screaming, plunged back to the human realm...
And he was Wodan/Vodhinn/Vodin, "the frenzied one", "the one of the madness of Truths", "Breather of the Living Fire"....
The All-Father...
The Human Prototype...

This place will bring you down
more than you'll ever know
Now it's do or die, I think it time ago
If you feel this pain, you can stay
I'll fly never liked it anyway
Son of a morning star

River rise
from tear drops without warning
Float away while flooding yesterday
I'll be gone,
I won't be back by morning
So rise river rise
Wash this place away
Clean my dirty soul
So I can save it
For judgement day

I remember you
seems like yesterday
Do you remember me?
I got lost on the way
Wrong muddy road
is nothing new
We stand
but this river's washing through
PadrinoDonLindo 2 years ago
Supposedly it speaks of the fragile existence of La Nouvelle-Orléans aka "New Orleans" the city of Sin being washed away by the river.
