Many westerners have visited Tibet. The standard of living in Tibet has risen since the Chinese invaded in 1950. However, life expectancy, health and education in Tibet is by far the lowest of all the areas China claims as its own. In 50 years this surely should been addressed? Also China has destroyed monasteries and confiscated nomadic land. It rules every aspect of Tibetan life, often harshly and has killed many Tibetans. This is why China is little respected in the world.
Come on, there are more than 55% population in Tibet are non-Tibetan people including Han Chinese and Muslin Chinese. I know some Tibetan. They are pretty free in China actually.
Generally, only the racists and rascals support the Tibet Independance, real peace-loving people would not. Just like good people in US don't support the independance of Hawaii or Texas. Just normal people should just ignore those racists.
