    Glad to hear that you're planning to get a consort together in London...let me know if you need a cittern player! We played from copies of Morleys original part books (except me in this case - I was improvising the lute part as you can probably tell!), and the singer just sang the standard Dowland version - they more or less fit together.

    I spent hours in the Schola library printing out the part books from microfilms - if you come and visit me here some time then I'll make you copies!

  • Or you could download Ian Gaskell's editions of the Matthew Holmes Consorts for free from the Lute Society website...

  • Very nice hearing this broken-consort version of "Now o Now". Good group. Special congrats to the lute player for his divisions. It was also great that you included the part-song version. Lovely performance!
