Back when i was a senoir in high school (bout 3 yrs ago) a few of my classmates in a classroom i was in, found out my belifes.. I dnt usually talk about my belifes unless im asked, and someone over heard me tlkin with one my friends.. The guys in that class were so cruel to me, and had me in tears and everything.. and i Jus sat there and took it.. Then my Teacher stepped in and told them that one of his best friends in the military was wiccan and threatened to send them all to the principle

I feel the ned to add to the "witches lack compassion" comment. Witches were healers before, therefore I think you will find witches some of the most compassionate people around. I always like the way some people know what god is thinking and how some people will be judged. I never look down on anyone's beliefs! I know a lot of people are narrow minded, but I can't see god saying " Oh, this one is going to heaven, and this one is going hell, because of their beliefs. witches lack comprehension skills? ! says the one who refers to god as a 'he'... I have made my choices and take my responsibilities seriously. If god wants to judge me for that, so be it. However, I don't think that has anything to do with god - its people putting words in god's mouth again. And it's disrepectful. A pagan would never presume they know what their god is thinking.

@hairmanjeff - I couldn't agree more. No male witches, and all the females are young - even the triple goddess here has three young women - hardly maiden mother & crone! @Artanis067 Actually, thee are plenty of male witches. It's just that forsome reason, over time the idea of a 'witch' has become more commonly associated wih women. It was part of this whole male christian dominance thing, if a woman became too bold etc they'd demonise her and call her a witch. Most artwork seems to reflect this. But in actuall fact, there were more men accused and killed for wichcraft than women
@JohnsonKeira1 ; only in 'stereotype'...as witches tend to do magic from within a thing through its nature. vs. wizards tend to use use external magic upon the thing, often ignoring its nature (i.e. nature is something to be dominated!)... thus more women tend toward witchcraft and more guys have other tendencies, but both are generalizations, and there is much overlap between sexes, but the stereotype has a basis.
@Astaraie Goes deeper than that: in Ancient Greece they were more seeresses (re the Pythia, the Sibyls…) than seers., and in the Norse tradition only women can practice the shamanic seidhr; Odin himself was ridiculed for learning it.
For a time witch was 'neutral', but the deep misogyny of the Church pushed to assimilate 'evil' => 'female'. Re. how Merlin was just put 'off the loop' but Morgan demonized in the Christianized Arthurian vulgate.

I always like the way some people know what god is thinking and how some people will be judged. I never look down on anyone's beliefs! I know a lot of people are narrow minded, but I can't see god saying " Oh, this one is going to heaven, and this one is going hell, because of their beliefs. witches lack comprehension skills? ! says the one who refers to god as a 'he'... I have made my choices and take my responsibilities seriously. If god wants to judge me for that, so be it. However, I don't think that has anything to do with god - its people putting words in god's mouth again. And it's disrepectful. A pagan would never presume they know what their god is thinking.

My "fellow Christians" do not speak for me, any more than your fellow witches speak for you. And I'd appreciate it if you would show me where I condemned you. This does not mean he hates you, but he will hold you accountable, and it will not be good for you on your day of judgment. Merry Meet! The original is by Marianne Faithfull (I think. I love her version anyway) It's entitled "Witches' song" This version was used in the movie 'The Craft' but I have no idea who sang it.

@hairmanjeff - I couldn't agree more. No male witches, and all the females are young - even the triple goddess here has three young women - hardly maiden mother & crone! @Artanis067 Actually, thee are plenty of male witches. It's just that forsome reason, over time the idea of a 'witch' has become more commonly associated wih women. It was part of this whole male christian dominance thing, if a woman became too bold etc they'd demonise her and call her a witch. Most artwork seems to reflect this. But in actuall fact, there were more men accused and killed for wichcraft than women

@JohnsonKeira1 ; only in 'stereotype'...as witches tend to do magic from within a thing through its nature. vs. wizards tend to use use external magic upon the thing, often ignoring its nature (i.e. nature is something to be dominated!)... thus more women tend toward witchcraft and more guys have other tendencies, but both are generalizations, and there is much overlap between sexes, but the stereotype has a basis.

For a time witch was 'neutral', but the deep misogyny of the Church pushed to assimilate 'evil' => 'female'. Re. how Merlin was just put 'off the loop' but Morgan demonized in the Christianized Arthurian vulgate.

Thereare many wonderful shos online where you can find all thethings you may need :) Infact, many people sell their wares on ebay - you can find some really beautiful ones on there - and hand made ones! I recently bought myself a more personalised pentacle which is decorated with a little bat :)

I can tell you about Wicca as much as I want, but it wont make you change your mind. We, Wiccans, disagree. I'm sure you can't understand that because you do not agree with our beliefs. However, I must suggest that you learn the facts about Wicca before judging it.

you know I think it's really immature of you ppl who think you are christian and who believe we pagans believe in satan. I myself grew up in a christian family and I now know a lot about both religions. paganism isn't about worshipping satan, we don't even believe satan EXISTS!! we accept people believing other things that we don't believe and thats what makes us different from you ppl. and that's also the reason why I decided not to be a christian anymore. just respect ppl's religion okay? tnx.

Okay that makes sense in your mind but let’s use common sense ...When did ‘disbelief’ cause God or Satan not to exist? U might as well believe the sun doesn’t shine till you open your eyes. Personal beliefs have no effect on what’s real; its only purpose is to fit you.
