Where feasible insert an intermediary layer of eg, pure linen (doubled is optimal, with a sheet of raw silk between those two layers), below any eg, leather or other costly fabric surface, so as to abet its breathing in both directions, and that minimizes dry rot, odors and helps with weight bearing ie, shifting occupant weight -- a layer of horse hair proves optimal!
nice to see what looks like 100% horse hair not 20/80 hog hair and horse hair but i would have liked to seen ur stiching because thats the hard part of upholstery
So nice to see someone working with horsehair! These days, it seems to be so out of vogue...I think because it take a lot of talent to build the foundation and know how to work with it. Well done!
