Serbs didn't fall until much later. They lost land because they were smaller and the Turks focused on the Serbs and Romanians most.

Before WW2 Serbs were majority in Kosovo. After ww2 with the help of the nazis albanians moved in and killed serbs forcing them out. THen Tito refused to let serbs return to Kosovo while opening boarders with Albania. That's how you get your albanian majority.
