English breakfast tea should be brewed at between 90-100 ° C. This won't taste right by a long way. If you brew it correctly you'll find milk to be a wonderful complement. You will also probably need the sugar less. Try adding the boiling water to a teabag for 2 minutes then removing the bag, adding milk and letting it rest for a few minutes. Then you might have a good cup of british tea.
the English have milk in their tea's all the time.. I think its nuts! but i think people should fallow this set of rules 1. Brew what you like 2. Brew how you like 3. Drink your tea how you like..
1. I'M TRANSITIONING INTO A RAW VEGAN DIET AND I'M LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT FOR COFFEE. I'VE TRIED MANY TEAS AND THEY'VE ALL BEEN LOUSY. THIS MORNING I TRIED THE ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA AND IT SO FAR HAS COME THE CLOSEST TO COFFEE OF THE TEAS I'VE TRIED. ALL I WANT FROM A TEA IS A SIMPLE WARM DRINK TO GET ME GOING IN THE MORNING, BECAUSE I DON'T LIKE TO SCREW AROUND WITH BREAKFAST. A NICE RAW VEGAN PASTRY TO GO WITH IT WOULD BE OK...GOOD LUCK
I might actually try it ...eventually. The idea of adding milk to my tea just doesn't seem right but I love tea in general and I really like to hear that you do too =) Now about your blog ... is it all about tea? I mean for real?
@sebatschi Hahah yeah I was really weirded out the 1st time I tried my tea with milk, but as of yesterday, I actually really like it! Yes, it is all about TEA :D Haha, it was about music, but I have another blog for my university's newspaper that is about music, so I was like "what else do I like?" and all I could think of was tea. lol.
@zombiexcorvette bahaha that's a funny story. I guess there are less blogs about tea than about music so it seems to be a good idea. Oops, just realized I posted my last entry twice, oh well. I wish I could go to uni and do projects like that but what I'm doing at the moment is important, too. Just not really mentally challenging. Anyways, I'm really curious about your blog's concept and I will check it out frequently.
