all filmed where I live middleton not a bad place really was a shit hole years ago love the part in hippos a club I used to go years ago :-) great film
This film by Ken Loache & with a great, contemporary story touches my to "Les Battersby" ( who's brill in this) about Tansy but I won't reveal it now in case you watch it. It's one of my favourite films. I hate moneylending. I hate poverty. Kind people do exist. Thanks for making it.
Anybody know the artist or the title of the aggressive rave-ish track that plays from 1:21 to 1:41?
Also, is the film as dark as the trailer makes it seem? From what I’d heard, it was supposedly more along the lines of High Hopes or Life is Sweet than a gritty kitchen sink drama.
@PIFMan092 I played Tracy, Rickty Tomlisons daughter in the film and I remeber getting given a list of tracks to chose for the clubs scene's I clicked on the trailer at 1:21 but couldnt hear any music(maybe I'm doing it wrong lol) which scene is it in?
@genni83 I've never actually seen the film, but in the trailer it's during the montage with the loan sharks (I think the track only appears in the trailer (checked the soundtrack listings for the film on an alternate website and none of the tracks matched the one used in the trailer). It's much quieter in comparison to the dialogue. Thanks for the reply, and the fact that it's from someone who worked on the film makes it even better!
u would think middleton couldnt get worse than back then but it did..
Complete shithole, full of sted heads on weekends standing at pub doors staring at anyone just to start a fight,Allll knobs!
All food areas are shite unless u dnt mind eating chippy and way too many bookmakers now profiting off broke ass peeps who cant get jobs, & local MPs who have long holidays abroad and dnt do thier job, just told instead by others what to do,where to be,what to sign ect, all a sham....
@LePig102 going off your message, they have just made it worse by putting a new multi million pound tesco extra superstore in the heart of middleton where the old middleton baths and civic used to be which will be open doors to pissheads 24/7 it opens on the 7th july 2010.
