I used to LOVE the Gnome Mobile as a child! Never noticed it was the same actors, costumes, etc. But I guess that just goes to show, kids don't care about the details, they just love a cute story for what it is; a cute story. :-)
It's true that Ellie Greenwich's song of hurtache is teamed with reconstrued footage from Disney's 1964 disaster "The Gnome-Mobile"... but... WHY?!?!?
Still one of the most amazing songs ever. Ellie Greenwich was such a great songwriting talent, and the passion and pathos of this song are incredible. Thanks for posting.
Hey menyc: thanks for your continued nice words on the piece. I'm flattered it's held your attention. I sent you a note a few weeks back in reply to your last comment. Did you get it? All best bdown68
Hey, I didn't get the note, but glad you sent it anyway. I cannot wait to see more from you. I have to work with editors often but I'm afraid I've sold out and my work is pretty "mass" and you don't deserve to go through the ordeal (advertising) but maybe... Again, I so love your work. Thanks a lot.
This is my 3rd favorite youtube video of all time. Or first.

Hard to believe this was her only solo single under her own name. RIP Ellie.
