@cookietard "Most" umbrellas are designed just to lessen the amount of rain hitting you from *above* but they're not always foolproof, especially in windy situations, or when your hands are already full, etc. Personally, I think it'd be cool to use this, except for the fact it isn't compactable.. I can't even remember (on already rainy days) or be lucky enough to have with me (for surprise rain) my current "normal" but very nifty compact umbrella so I usually just rely on my "baseball cap", LOL!

I bought one of these and it's fabulous. I work in a high school and kids may point and laugh at first but they are WET kids and I am DRY. On the other hand, quite a few people have been really keen to know where I got it. I really love it. It really is dry and comfortable and warm with it on. The plastic is far enough away from the face not to fog and there's plenty of ventilation. If it looks stupid I don't care - try to look cool wearing a bin bag or wrestling with a windblown

I don't understand why so many knock this innovative product. I'm sure many scoffed at the the traditional Umbrella when if first came on the market (they don't keep U that dry unless they carry one that's 4 - 5 ft wide when opened) . It's hands free. When I can afford one, I'll be buying. It will great to use for biking, hiking, skating, even in the winter, and when it's just plain windy. Seems it would B great 4 people that use their mobile phone for talking and texting on the go.

What happens when the water runs down the front onto your clothes or when it's windy outside and the rain hits your body? You get soaked. Arm mobility is really degraded, it looks goofy, and, to top it off, I can see that shitty plastic fogging up and making the whole thing useless. Don't waste your money on such a flawed product.
