  • I THINK GOLOK IS THE BEST!!!!

  • Thank you for the test that the average man would have used .

  • maaaaaaaaan, you need to sharpen that little axe, i have a 26 inch eastwing that can go thru that piece ow wood in 8 hits or less

  • At no time did the saw make me feel like a eye was going to be put out or a finger was going to be lost and the saw looked a whole lot less exerting. Everything has it`s place and for that size of limb a saw is the right choice.

  • Chopping technique was poor and at that size the saw should have breezed it

  • Dunno, think the saw could've been easier had he changed the angle every so often.

  • A Bahco Laplander would have taken 1/3 of the time of any of them. It's a wonderful tool.

  • I'll wager the energy expenditure was the reverse of the time results.

  • Very good video for a person who can take outdoors only one item and have to choose. For me it is also machete. Its multitask and faster with fresh and thin wood.

  • that hatchet is small and to light weight

  • The machete has to be the most useful tool, and the golok is a good shape for a machete, hack, slash, cut, dig, bash, crush, slice and chops :) would prob end up lighter than an axe for what you need it for. saws have there place because they are so lightweight, axes are good for lumps of wood (like in this vid), although I'm sure ray mears could peel a grape with one :)

  • Thanks for the clip. This guy has more stamina than me. The little axes are cute but just are not much chop (I couldn't help the bad pun). The general cutting technique with the axe and golok could be better, a lot of the cuts were just going into the same spot at the same angle, so not really cutting much when that happens Hard to tell if it is a pull saw or a push & pull cut saw.and I am not sure he knows either. A golock is really intended for green wood not this stuff he was cutting..

  • I don't know what wood he was chopping bit it was hard.

A good cutting demonstration . Well done.

I didn't see much of a difference in expended energy on any of the three.

The axe looks like it dulled after a few chops.

The machete would have worked better if he used the forward section instead half way down.

The axe would have come out as the best if it was of better quality and properly sharpened.

  • i say golok and axe p.s do u live in the woods or something

  • 5 stars. The saw looked to be less work than the choppers. Also, I think the saw cuts on the pull stroke, so he was getting stuck trying to cut on the push.

  • personally i prefer golok over anything else, it can be used for so many different things that a saw and hatchet cant do effectively

  • Sir, thank you.
