first time i saw these guys was at the avalon ball room in dec. 1966 peaking on osley acid i instantly fell in love with them, but especially richie furay, i guess i saw them at lest 10 times between los angeles and san francisco, and as you can guess they're one of my all-time fav bands, they produced such sweet, sweet music
Buffalo Springfield Richie Furay - guitar, vocals Dewey Martin - drums, vocals Bruce Palmer - bass Stephen Stills - guitar, keyboard, vocals Neil Young - guitar, harmonica, piano, vocals
Hey M31!!! I just got a copy of LOng Beach May 5 68...22 minutes of bluebird (but this Texas one is more melodic, I feel.) had to share with someone who'd care...

It's only taken 40 years for me to finally hear this live. As a long-time Springfield fan, I had heard talk that some live recordings were floating around. It definitely shows hints of the jam-transitions that would end up in CSNY.s 4 Way Street. But Buffalo Springfield was the true original.

I found Stampede in Greenwich Village on vinyl & on CD, not a bad album.

The 1973 compilation album "Buffalo Springfield" includes a 9-minute "Bluebird" that has never been officially reissued on CD. It is awesome.

Awesome, wish I could have been there ... well, I was only 5 years old at the time! Can anyone identify the guitar parts -- who is playing what?

A very cool song is Bluebird. Does anyone have footage of them playing it live?

I was only 12 and a half then but I would still liked to have seen them live in the UK.
