  • I was at at camp and we were leaving the pool then we saw a huge menacing cloud coming toward us. We were hurried to the bus but before that we were under a cloud just like that but the freaky part was is that it made no thunder until it was just coming over us. Then at that moment, LIGHTING THUNDER 40 MILE AN HOUR WIND! We all sprinted to the bus ( though our consulor told us to walk) so many kids scream's running to the bus. After that it rained so hard it actually hurt for about 10 minutes t

  • WOW

  • if i was under that... 0_0

  • @Tycaptobvious now u is a freak of nature o.o

  • 3/4 inch of hail?! D;

  • O-_-O says "woah!!"

  • People who say it is a wall cloud are kinda right because a tornado forms from a wall cloud the storm went through new york and definitely lasted longer then 10-20 minutes which concludes that it was a tornado maybe not from beginning of the storm but eventually it did.

  • @Envisionzbk A tornado is a violently rotating column of air that connects the cloud base to the ground. Not on the ground, not a tornado. A funnel cloud doesn't touch the ground. As soon as it does, it is then a tornado. A wall cloud is NOT a tornado. A funnel is not a tornado. Many people get the terms wrong.

  • @Landotter1 thank you mr weather. No one asked you for a weather lesson.

  • somebody pissed off goku and hes transforming

  • Ahh, beautiful man! This is often my very favorite moment of the chase. Knowing you're right where you want to be and just praying she'll drop one in the middle of an empty field right next to you! 5 stars, brother. Good luck this season!

  • no cause i live in terre haute there are no tornadoes very often i remember this

  • Wow, nice wallcloud

  • Very nice wall. I've rarely seen them with so much activity and stay off the ground. That thing looks like it would rip out of nowhere at any second.

  • Good coverage on rotation! In 1953 my dad took a rare color home movie before and after the Worcester,MA tornado.Back then color film of anything was rare.94 people in his area were killed.

  • I put it on Youtube.

  • Post that video! WOW 1953 video!

  • Do tornadoes happen frequently around terre haute? we may be moving there in April.

  • Occasionally, but no more so than in other parts of the Midwest.

  • @mnadejesus yes Terre Haute is part of the Tornado Alley

We get terribly bad sever storms..

  • do wall clouds have scales? like the

wiiluigi1993 guy said "F5 looking wall cloud and was on the ground :O but no tornado just a storm"

I didn't know they have scales just like hurricanes and tornadoes please reply thanks!

  • There is no scale for wall clouds - only for tornadoes that actually touch down. To the best of my knowledge, there was no tornado associated with this wall cloud.

  • @johnefarley

    Thanks

  • @johnefarley No tornado? Now, that's ironic.

  • I like how the NWS guy says Montgomery. Mont gom er y

  • It's not a guy.

It's a similar system to what Stephen Hawking uses to communicate with people, but it is newer and more humanlike.

So in short - It's not a real person. lol

  • there wasnt a tornado tho until like 10:00 but it was more of an f1 but i was driving in it at first

  • Were you in this storm?

  • wow.

kinda scary if u ask me

  • very nice cloud!

  • i live in terre haute i was scared that night!

  • Dude, you wernt in that much danger - you should have kept filming. I would have been in seventh heaven filming. When the tornado is lowering toward the ground and you see debree, that when it's time to get out of there.

  • I was staying at a motel in Honey Creek Square, if it's still there. I got hit by the worst storm I was ever in. I was on foot, trying to make it back to my room with a to go order from Red Lobster. Never got to eat it. Terre Haute has some dandies!

  • dude you better run!!!! lo, nice video

  • Dayum.

  • great, did a cold front kill it? could have produced F3 or higher. great footage.

  • Great Video! suprised there was no tornado from that one.. looked quite nice there!

  • That is absolutely gorgeous!!

  • NICE!!!!! I live in Johnson County, IN

  • that wasnt dangerous, man up! I had a rotating wall cloud go directly over me before.

  • A rotating wall cloud over your head is dangerous. It could drop a tornado at any moment. Remind me not to take you tornado chasing.

  • I wasn't out chasing, I was on my way home from work and stopped to admire it. It didn't scare me, it just was very interesting. Also, I don't give a shit about danger.

  • Jesus! look at that nasty greenish evil sky!

  • great video good thing i live in ireland :)

  • Wow! Fantastic footage!

  • Is that on I-70?

  • Yes, the video was taken from I-70.

  • Kelvin Sampson brought the tornados from Oklahoma when he took over the Hoosiers job.

  • daaaamn. That is crazy.

  • I had one of these form over my house!!!

  • this was on my best friend's birthday. i remember that day. i live around indianapolis, and we only got severe storms. no tornado threats or anything luckily.

  • OH MY GOSH! I live by close to Terre Haute (Brazil) in Clay county! THAT WAS AWESOME! And I go to church in West Terre Haute! AMAZING!

  • Very dramatic rotation. Awesome video, lucky to catch this.

  • In reference to the two most recent comments - A tornado warning was issued just after I got this video, based on radar indication of the rotation. As to the tornadoes that did occur, one may have been from this storm (somewhat later), but two or three of the tornadoes were associated with another storm that moved earlier along a similar track.

  • Actually, the storm did produce a Tornado in Clay County, just east of Terre Haute. WE also had 2 up in Hendricks county, both EF1. The one in Hamilton County was rated EF2.

  • To StormySoonerAD28: Yes, A tornado was confirmed in Clay county in Knightsville, about 2 miles east of Brazil. I live in Brazil, by the NWS Storm Survey Team in Indianapolis and that was an awesome storm day! We saw a funnel cloud out by Carbon (NE Clay county, about 5 miles north of Brazil)

  • Freakin' awesome! You were only under a T-Storm Warning?

  • wow! You weren't kidding! Absolutely stunning :-)

  • Amazing Rotation !! wow!!!
