Ahh man, I can't help but think watching some of these, why don't you kill the dogs and moths? I don't think they spawn back if you do, just the ghosts you can't kill - and you know, now that I think about it this is one of the few (only?) Silent Hill games where you can't really outrun the enemies.

So. Mike was stalking? Rachael, who had a painter boyfriend.. Who was quite happy when Richard went Mike-skinning. And then Walter-kid came by? Maybe?

All the little glimpses into the neighbors' lives via the painter was pretty fascinating, though.

:D I will be so amused if you end up finding 303's key next to your bed in the real world. As it is, you'll probably need to go back to 106, or whichever room is was on the first room that you hightailed out of before really looking.

I think it's because there's something...unsettling about a person who brings ice cream to you. It sounds like too good a deal. And the music, droning on and on during mercilessly hot sunny days...tempting you towards an offer you won't be able to refuse...

Seems to me like there was a point to the phone, mostly in proving that Mike was indeed a stalker, as she has a painting of it on which she says something like "he got what's coming for him, the stalker" with Mike's name attatched to it. Also, i have a vague memory of rachel's apartment being mentioned in an earlier segment, might be wrong though. Just feels like you rushed through that apartment a tad quickly :p

And we do have ice cream trucks in the US. One time about 7 years ago, there was one trolling the apartment complex I lived in, and the landlord went out and told him, "This is a nice neighborhood. We don't want this here." And the truck left. I remember being like, WTF was that about, I wanted a fudgesicle you jerk! Maybe he was a drug dealer. We'll never know. But I still get excited for that noise.

I think the point might have been that Mike was in love with Rachel, but when you get to her apartment, there are paintings that were done by a man that lived there (the self portrait was of a man.) So it kind of highlights the point that Mike was an unwanted stalker. Not that it has any relevance as far as I can see...but yeah.
