I'm considering getting the 2012 GT because I love it's power but I don't know about the design. This looks like a cool future design but I didn't own the 2005 car and I like how retro it is. I mean the 2005-2009 body looks identical to a fastback. I am not a huge fan of the rear design on this new mustang, it's not retro

I never attacked the newer cars, I made a comment about the new Challenger's lack of imagination design-wise, and stated that the cars nowadays are not muscle cars, but pony cars. Please read my posts thoroughly, I never said the newer cars aren't good. I have a 2006 Mustang GT by the way.....
They all have the design like a mule, ford and chevy have no imagination anymore, who cares about these cars, like really Ford just improved things a nitpicker would look at, they should start designing off of muscle cars, but with the Horse power they didnt have in the day, like dodge is with the new Dodge Challeger, it looks signifacintly like a muscle car, and looks great in Plum crazy, but chevy and ford need to pull it together.

The new Challenger shows NO imagination, it's a direct copy of the original plastered onto a Chrysler 300 platform, the new Camaro & Mustang take elements of their respective past and combine it with new car looks IMO. For those who are old enough to remember, the Mustang/Camaro/Challenger are PONY cars, not MUSCLE cars, although muscle cars weren't called muscle cars back in the day, they were call Super Cars, that muscle car name started in the 80's to describe super cars.

I still think the newer mustangs look FAT. I strongly prefer the 65-71 models, and the newer ones in comparison look like they've been eating too many cakes and mcdonalds hamburgers. Just my 2 cents though

To the guy in the video--- No Mustang has ever had sequential turn signals from the factory until this 2010 Mustang came out. So to say it is reminiscent to Mustangs of the past is just flat out wrong.
I HATE the back of it. The 05-09 stangs looked great in the back with that flat high muscle car look. The new ones look like some shitty European car that women drive. But I do like the front, it makes it look mean and looks like the stanf is snouting more.
All the changes talked about in the 2010 'Stang, are totally of personal taste. I think the '05-09 "Stangs are better looking all the way around. I have a '08, Alloy Clearcoat Metallic, with after market satin silver stripes, and that is one mean looking ride. I think it's nicer than the '10s. But again, personal opinion. But the magazine writers have to write something.
Oh, if the 'Stang wants to stay ahead of the competition, the "stock" GT needs 475+ hp. and independent. rear suspension.

The mustang should have Carbon Fiber body panels with magnizuim braces behind the panels. If the vet has been usesing special materials can't the mustang? It would be almost a diffrent car. it would be a lot faster. it should have a wing also.

@dude99966 I think Ford started getting it right when they ditched that old (2000) look for the mustang and made this beast (2009 and up basically) of a car! It looks more like an old mustang than the older one but in a great modern way! the angular front end for example, classic mustang and im glad to see they brought it back! the silhouette is of an old mustang literally on steroids! Ford is definitely on their game!

I prefer the 2005-2009. I'm not a fan of the plastic that wraps around the vehicle or the blacked-out grill almost like they are trying to copy the Camaro and Challenger on that one. The 2005-2009 looked clean and mean. The 2010's interior rocks the 2009's though.

I didn't really like the 05-09. It took me those 4 years to get used to the design, but i fell in love with the '10 instantly. I've owned every bodystyle of mustang from fox body to new edge and i think i'm gonna make the jump to sn195!

That is a gorgeous car. however i dont like the inner set of headlights. the 2010 mustang in a black convertible with a tan leather interior (if they have that) is my favorite.

Mustangs of the past never had sequential taillights. Early Mercury Cougars had them. Great looking car except for the rear-end. The tailights are a disapointment and should be changed for the next model year:)

I'm a big fan of Ford, but I just have to ask. The basic version of the Mustang with the 4.0L V6. It develops 210bhp. How in hell do you extract such a small amount of horse power from an engine that big!?
I personally am not interested in Chevy's. You should see the awful rubbish they try to sell to us in the UK (with exception of maybe the Corvette). We won't be getting the Challenger unfortunately.
The new 2.5L 5 Cyclinder Ford Focus RS (Europe) develops 300bhp, through the front wheels. Not only is it bloody brilliant and performance car fast, I think its the first powerful front wheel drive car that has been able to successfully put so much power through the front wheels. If the Vuaxhall/Opel Astra VXR is anything to go by (240bhp and suffers awful torque steer) there is no way GM would be this successfully.
When GM brought the Astra over to the US, I was shocked that they didn't do the VXR trim. Though, we do have the Volvo C30 that does have the Ford 2.5L Turbo I-5, and I'm seriously looking at buying one :)
The new mustang has a trunk button that the old mustang doesn't have and has no gas cap. Also the ambient lighting is intergrated into the gauges and what is called a halo you can also change the color of the word mustang thats located in the door frame. Ohh and the whole glass roof thing is cool!
not always about horsepower. when i bought my bmw i knew it wasnt fastest car but it handled better and felt more comfortable to drive. i love driving the curvy canyon roads. maybe its time to trade it in and get the new stang with that track pack...
I'm a GM guy. I own an '87 Iroc 5.7 and even work for GM, but this Mustang is f'n sweet! The Camaro is a complete pick, and I understand this Mustang is about 400-500 pounds heavier and has a solid rear axle compared to the Camaro. WOW.

Why would you change a good thing like the Live axle.
475+ HP would make the car impossible to own for anyone under the age of 40
because of insurance,412 HP will do just fine and outrun most everything else on the road.

@dude99966 I think Ford started getting it right when they ditched that old (2000) look for the mustang and made this beast (2009 and up basically) of a car! It looks more like an old mustang than the older one but in a great modern way! the angular front end for example, classic mustang and im glad to see they brought it back! the silhouette is of an old mustang literally on steroids! Ford is definitely on their game!

I prefer the 2005-2009. I'm not a fan of the plastic that wraps around the vehicle or the blacked-out grill almost like they are trying to copy the Camaro and Challenger on that one. The 2005-2009 looked clean and mean. The 2010's interior rocks the 2009's though.

Mustangs of the past never had sequential taillights. Early Mercury Cougars had them. Great looking car except for the rear-end. The tailights are a disapointment and should be changed for the next model year:)

I'm a big fan of Ford, but I just have to ask. The basic version of the Mustang with the 4.0L V6. It develops 210bhp. How in hell do you extract such a small amount of horse power from an engine that big!?
I personally am not interested in Chevy's. You should see the awful rubbish they try to sell to us in the UK (with exception of maybe the Corvette). We won't be getting the Challenger unfortunately.

The new 2.5L 5 Cyclinder Ford Focus RS (Europe) develops 300bhp, through the front wheels. Not only is it bloody brilliant and performance car fast, I think its the first powerful front wheel drive car that has been able to successfully put so much power through the front wheels. If the Vuaxhall/Opel Astra VXR is anything to go by (240bhp and suffers awful torque steer) there is no way GM would be this successfully.

The new mustang has a trunk button that the old mustang doesn't have and has no gas cap. Also the ambient lighting is intergrated into the gauges and what is called a halo you can also change the color of the word mustang thats located in the door frame. Ohh and the whole glass roof thing is cool!
