You dont have to score higher than a 98 thats a bunch of bullshit. its not even your overall score that gets you a SEAL contract it's General science, mechanicalComprehension, and Electronics all added together.Theirs people that score high on the asvab that dont get the contract then theres people that score just okay that recieve the contract.Then you have to take a pysical test(PST) if passed you recieve your contract(Doesn't mean shit)Since the wash out rate at BUD/S can be as high as 90-95%

Also depends what time of the year it is a winter class has a higher drop out rate than a summer class and their are winter class that sore in the 90-95% drop rate. There was even a BUD/S class 78 or 79 gotta look it up(you can do the research if you like) that graduated no one they got down to 3 candidates left and they rolled them back to the next class resulting in a 100% washout
@ragenhurt - The entire special forces program is a waste of money, effort and most important, lives of good young men. America uses its military for one thing, Nation Building. America would be fine with a military of 700,000 and a reserve of 700,000. America is paying for 200,000 mercenaries in Iraq and Afghanistan. @390bullitt1968 Well everyone in my family served like i said my dad is a retired Navy SEAL(BUD/S class 104) and i leave in 9 days to hopefully make it to army special forces(Green Beret)...And your ''opinion'' is just that your opinion. Our special operation units are playing a k role in this war you can't fight a war on terror with ''big military'' you need these special units to carry out this task. been tested and proven. thats what Devgu and Delta were doing all there the 80's and 90's

You have to convince them their oaths require such action. SEAL's at least, wannabes are not in the same universe.
An oath taken by a serviceman, to protect the constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic, is not much of an oath. But a service man who becomes a SEAL, that oath is sacrosanct, immutable and infrangible.
If they follow the adive of Dick's sea daddy, Ev Barrett, and get their dumbasses trained in not only martial, but intellectual skill, then we may save the us.
