Thanks Doc .. Just when I was beginning to think there was no more professionals out there willing to speak the plain truth. May your practice flourish.
@CherishTheChildren -- Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil is not hydrogenated. It is snow white. I also buy oil which is Organic Expeller Pressed from Wilderness Family Naturals for cooking since this later oil doesn't smell like coconut.
@COYOTE165A I'll check it out although I am not big fan of Wal-Mart and Chinese crap they are dumping into our country. Recently we had occurrence of dogs poisonings with the cheap dog food and treats imports. They come to a community. Koll it economically with cheap prices. Than, after they belly up Wal-Mart jacks the prices. They are BASTARDS! Check the video documentary: "Wal Mart: The High Cost Of Low Price"
I make green smoothies every morning. I open a baby coconut and blend the meat with the water. It results in a beautiful and smooth, creamy consistency which I add to my smoothies. Aside from the fact that I love it am I getting health benefits from this? Thanks
Thank you for your reply. I have been using the same product as one would eat, just the pure oil. I was wondering if rubbing it on the skin helps with moving belly fat or if one must eat it for that?
What about coconut oil for use as an anti-virul/anti bacterial? Its said to heal viruses from sexually transmitted to colds. What are your thoughts on this.?
@lavenderbudtree Monolaurin formed from lauric acid in coconut oil has antiviral, antibacterial and anti parasitic properties. Preliminary studies in humans for infections, I believe, are showing mixed results. It is another possible benefit however. I thought with those properties it would make a good underarm deodorant. I found that for me, it wasn't that effective.
I actually went out and bought coconut oil after watching this video. I didn't skimp either. Extra virgin, cold pressed and organic. Good stuff. I might be crazy but it seems as though I have much more energy since I started taking it.
@BestVideoResponse I'm not surprised at a boost in energy. Coconut oil is rich in medium chain triglycerides which are burned for energy rather than stored.
Coconut oil is good for people with metabolic syndrome because it boosts metabolism and studies show it preferentially removes fat from the abdominal area which is the most metabolically active fat that causes M. syndrome. It's important to reverse this is its early stages as it eventually leads to diabetes. I recommend traditionally processed, organic coconut oil. A tablespoon a day is a good dose and it can be added to foods drinks, or used in cooking as it is heat stable. Good luck. Dr. G.
@NaturalFoodsDiet I noticed my lipomas have flattened out since I've started eating it. I hope they continue to flatten or better yet disappear! Thanks for messaging me.
how can I incorporate coconut oil to the diet of a metabolic syndrom person? OUr doctor just gave my husban d the medicine and I deduced that he had metabolic syndrom because his mom died of it, and the symptoms. Then I asked him and he corraborated that that was the diagnosis. Now, He did not educate me about the synd. I just researched. But this is new to me. Can you give me some hints on how to use it for him.Thank you!
Controlled my pre-diabetes by taking spoonful before bedtime, Worked pretty well straight away. My doctor still not happy though.
