Explosions in the Sky. My all time favorite band. They may not sing, but their music speaks to us in its own special way. It tells a story. It makes us remember our pasts, sad or not. One thing I absolutely love about their music is that it goes on for more than two to three minutes. I love that.

Man, why is this music so moving? I'm not a real emotional guy, but this stikes a cord with me. It makes me think of our life journey from birth to death, and everything in-between. It makes me think of how I love my children and the preciousness that is life.

I think it's subjective for everyone, but I wondered why this moved me so much the first time I heard it as well, but then I saw a clip of them play live. These guys play with so much passion and I think it's contageious. They're not an average band who goes out and just stand there with their instruments, it's all very rough but perfect because of all the natural energy that flows. It reflects with the listener too. I have yet to actually see them live, but they're top priority.

Just repetitive dance glitter and rehashed Britney mediocrity that the little kiddies just love to lap up. In order for it to be great music, it has to exhibit some originality and a willingness to go beyond the norm. Music that has staying power, of which LG entirely lacks.
