I love geo metros, I have a 93 Swift. I have used it for rural meter reading(lots of off roading). It's been such a dependable car. Have 300k and the 3cyl hasn't been taken apart yet. Still runs faily good.

I thought the Aspire has a 1.3 four cylinder with 63 hp and the Metro either has a 1.0 Three cylinder with 55hp or a 1.3 Four cylinder with 70hp

Hmm Ive owned several Metro's and a couple Aspire's so Im aware of the performance on both of these cars I also know that the four cylinder Metro is more powerful than the 3cylinder and that the four cylinder Metro should have been able to out run the Aspire.

Ya my Metro is the 3 cylinder 1.0L. When I was looking to buy a gas saver, I figured why not go for the smallest of the small. But for lack of quick acceleration, I do get 50-55mpg on the highway. Its a trade off. I still have my V8 T-Bird when I really want to cruise.
