Climate Legislation, Colorado Springs Utilities

It's inappropriate for my citizen-owned utility to enter the political arena and argue against climate legislation. This utility has dragged its feet on renewables and married coal. The purpose of the climate bill is to connect true environmental costs with high CO2-emission activities. Yet our utility questions the wisdom of this because it will increase our utility bills. What did they expect? Concerned about high utility bills? Then charge appropriate tap fees in new developments.
