i think the whole "nero is vergil" rumors begin with a bad translated early dmc4 interview mentioned about original nero's personality (who shared similarities with dmc3's dante & vergil) NO, nero is not vergil ! even though I used to be against with this theory but this final trailer shows that "give me more power" speech really may be influence by vergil.

DMC 4 in ten steps:

1.Dante shoots some priests from the Order of the Sword because they are demons.

2.Nero is annoyed and fights Dante, but after Dante sees Nero's arm, he decides to take his leave after letting on that he knows something about Nero's condition.

3.Nero goes on to some demons and save a couple civilians.

4.Kyrie disintegrates and Nero goes into Emo-mode because he couldn't save her.

9.Nero defeats the final boss in an epic battle.

10. The end.

The devil bringer is part of vergil. And dante knowing this gives nero the yamato to bring out vergil's full power, thus explaining the big blue devil-trigger-like being around nero.

The big blue thing also has like the spirit sheathe which I saw in some magazine scans.

Except that Vergil is only a half devil, so his arm can't possibly be in a permanent devil state. It has to be the arm of some full devil being, maybe even Sparda, since he originally owned the Yamato.

I think that the angel lookin dude that Nero beats the crap out of was actually a transformed version of Agnus who then transformed again into the last boss. Or it can be an epic boss that comes from the demon world like in DMC 1&2. Please no negative comments or flames this is just an opinion.
