@danwat1234 I have owned a few old cars.....it may get about 11 miles per gallon in the city and about 17 on the hihhway.....no air polution devices so I think I am pretty close
I'm a big fan and grew up watching with my grandfather in the late 50's early 60's. It's still very special to watch on DVD and on This TV.... I share your enthusiasm and have similar TV crushes. I followed the Fugitive as well and then met Barry Morse (Lt Gerard) and brought him to Detroit to host a marathon of Fugitive episodes when the movie released....
Actually, his '54 Olds was the better of the two. But(t) they dropped it as fat ass couldn't handle it's "Rocket" engine...on one occasion putting it on it's side, breaking the arm of the actor riding shotgun. (Maybe his being a morning drinker, had a bit to do with it also.)
well done this is really great, I can remember the show down in here in Australia, the Buick and Brodrick C ( Acadamy award winner) was the right man for the roll.
Thanks again Gary, it's so much fun to watch your 21-50 rolling down the highway. Highway Patrol is one of the reasons I have a badge today! Broderick was really a hero. You do him an honor.
Probably about 8MPG with that. Beautiful cars those are

You Buick fans....here's a neat beast: "1954 BUICK, (La Carrera Panamerican) RACER-WAGON." You will love it! Albeit, it is not quite stock.

I owned one of these around 1959 when I was only 19 years old.
A two-door red and white 1955 Buick Special hardtop.
My most favourite car.
