I as well saw Ms. Kovalevska perform Liu in Turandot with the WNO at the final performance last night where she absolutely blew everyone away. The effortlessness and beauty with which she sings is truly remarkable! What a talent!

I saw Maija K as Liu in Turandot at the Washington National Opera last night. Superb performance! She stole the show!

We did indeed hear Maija sing Mimi at the San Francisco opera house.  Regrettably, she was not in good voice that day. Rodolpho was to be sung by Jose Calleja, who cancelled due to illness. Perhaps the last minute tenor who filled in did not inspire Maija to sing her best. Nonetheless, I would still enjoy hearing her sing again.

I saw Maija Kovalevska last night, singing Mimi at the New York Metropolitan. I'm not a critic but I was very impressed, not only by her voice, but with the emotional intelligence with which she sang. She conveyed so many colours, reducing me to tears in her first aria! The most impressive Mimi I have ever heard live.
