If people use their brains a bit more, it is common sense why siblings (humans) dont mate and re-produce. This will produce offsprings that are retarded or have major health problems. This is because of the chromosomes/gene pool "rules'.

I know a pair of cousins who had a child together. He was the sweetest guy in the world but so very disabled. He was never able to walk, could hardly talk, and had serious health issues. He died in his early 20's, it was so devastating to see him have to go through all that. This is why inbreeding between humans is wrong, why can't people see that in animals?

@falcore Inbreeding in the wild isn't /natural/ per say. If it happens, it happens because something has gone wrong in the hierarchy. They will breed, yes, but the young are less likely to survive, therefore, preventing genetic defaults from being passed on through generations. If it's normal in the wild, why do mothers chase off their sons when they reach sexual maturity? Why not mate with their sons, because they will be falling into heat at that point in time?

What's interesting is that rabbit breeders and even chicken breeders will often cross breed their animals and then bring them back to type in order to strengthen the breed. I don't see why that couldn't be done with dogs as well, eliminating or reducing long term health risks for the purebred dogs.

Which a lot of times white boxers carry the genetic for being deaf or hearing. But I m against breeding white boxers.

I even plan to go to a breeder and buy a longhair Chihuahua and then i plan to get a purebred Chocolate n white Siberian Husky. I've known a family who had a mutt and a GSD(purebred) and the mutt had so many problems they had to put her down. The GSD is still alive n healthy

Overall, a resounding ruling in FAVOR of PDE and a complete waste of KC money that should have been better spent.

Inbreeding is actually done in mother nature by wolves and feral dogs, and doesn't have to be a problem. However inbreeding dogs for gameness for example (commonly done in pitbulls), brings a risk to the table. This practice enhances both the bad and the good qualities of the newborn puppies, but also makes the genepool smaller.

Culling can mean killing, but mostly these days pups are removed from the gene pool by placing them in a pet home and neutering them. Some breeders still to kill to cull - as described on this video. Very sad.

The process you described is neutered a dog and it's a rather responsible thing to do. In humans, it known as vasectamy and is a easy and quick procedure.
