  • Walter payton #2 Jim Brown #1 needs eric dickerson

  • JIM BROWN #1 WALTER PAYTON #2

  • jim brown was and always will be the # number 1 remember 104.3 a GAME!!

  • This was an awesome video. But I think walter should be number 1 and Barry should be number 2. Otherwise, great video

  • you could just create a new video/list with same song, and try not to make mistakes

  • don't listen to the haters. This is a perfect list. It should have eric dickerson though.

  • @parkourguy84 Actually I don't agree with all of it either. I might remake this video.

  • how does curtis martin make the list

  • @Dutchthamentalist He won't make the list when I remake it or if I do.

  • @Dutchthamentalist Because he is number 4 all time in NFL history. Thats why. He was sick nasty

  • Jim Brown is the best ever period done said i will say it again to the old and young JIM BROWN check out stats and film .......cause film don't lie baby baby

  • U got it wrong for the top 4 here it goes

    4.Jim Brown

    3.Walter Payton

    2.Emmit Smith

    1.Barry Sanders

    Got. It

  • @lupetin100 Emmit Smith ahead of Barry Sanders is a joke. Barry was definately a better runner than Emmit and plus Emmit played for a better team. Emitt also played longer and Barry retired in his prime. If he didn't he would probally be the all-time rushing leader. Barry's team sucked and had to run for his life half of the time. Barry should actually be 2nd all-time.

  • @lupetin100 Sorry i read your list backwards.....ok good choice for Sanders at # 1 but Brown at 4th and behind Emmit? WHAT??? Go watch footage of him and check out his stats. A lot of football historians actually consider him to be the greatest NFL player ever.

  • curtis martin sucked dick...

  • emmitt, curtis martin,ladanian...they r great -but not top ten great

  • Emmitt Smith, the greatest offensive line err... running back ever!

  • For the most part I agree with the list.......Brown is the greatest player in NFL history in my mind. What I would change on the list is #8 Motley-the numbers you have for him aren't all from the NFL(last I knew Brown's 5.2 yards per carry was the career high in the NFL). Motley played in the AAFC thru 1950(coached by Paul Brown), that lesser league folded and the Browns and 49'ersthen joined the NFL. Might want to think about slipping Earl Campbell into the 8th slot.

  • Earl Campbell Highlights look him up and youll redo this..

  • good job on the list bro

  • Earl Campbell should've damn sure been on here and sweetness is the undisputed G.O.A.T

  • i was getting worried when i didnt see Jim Brown but i agree at him at #1. but Earl Campbell did deserve a spot on this list

  • Where the fuck is Earl Campbell you dipshit???

  • There are some serious omissions in your list! what about Eric Dickerson, Marcus Allen or Earl Campbell. for example?

  • @TheMegaCritic2000 I don't just go by stats......and this is a top 10 list. D you realize how many comments I get of people complaining about this and that person not being on the list? I can't satisfy everyone and dont want to...this list is my opinions.

  • If Barry had a O-line, he would be #1. His protection collapsed faster than the last piece of jenga tower.

  • I must say I have to agree with your list. I know some people disagree here. Jim Brown joined that team when they were garbage. So did Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, those teams they joined were garbage and the numbers they produced. Even Gale Sayers got hurt after the ninth game in 4th season yet still led the league in rushing a year later but lacked the light speed he once had.. He was really the only one (other then Barry Sanders) that was close to Brown's rushing average per carry.

  • Its wrong

  • this list sucks \

  • @fumbleforcer69 Thanks! XD

  • Seriously eazyesjc, you'll put emmitt ahead of his first 3? He could have put any of those 3 in any order and I'll have been cool with it. But for you to come here and disrespect these guys( no disrespect to emmitt, he was great) by putting emmitt in #1, I wonder if you know much about football. You're probably one of those people that think having the highest number in stats and number of rings determine the greatness of a player. Put any if those 3 in that cowboy team and they'll shatter that

  • I agree with your top 3 no doubt, buy where the heck are Marcus Allen, Terrell Davies and Ottis Anderson.

  • IMO this is how it should be #1 Emmitt Smith #2 Jim Brown #3 Barry Sanders #4 Walter Peyton #5 Tony Dorsett #6 OJ Simpson #7 Marcus Allen #8 Gayle Sayers #9 Terrell Davis #10 Jerome Bettis
  • number nine was wearing converse lol

  • Earl Campbell...

The best running back since Jim Brown.

One of two athletes I miss most. The other one is "Magic" Johnson.

  • 104 yards per game... are u kiddin me, He is hands down the Best, Jim Brown

  • good list 4 the most part but what about the other greats like marcus allen, bo jackson, tony dorsett, franco harris, jerome bettis or earl campbell ??

  • @zappfan84 I can't fit 15 or 20 players in a top 10 list. I did my best and I think I did a good job.

  • @SlayerInBlood i kno u cant fit 15 or 20 players n a top 10 list but i just named the 1s u couldve mentioned. im not hatin or nuttin. im just sayin. and u did do a good job

  • curtis martin shouldnt even be on the list i say Bo Jackson should be highly on the list

  • I agree except for OJ Simpson and Emmit smith they shouldnt be there (my opinion)

  • Notice how the top 10 lists are always different, but Barry Sanders is always a top 3. That dude was amazing.

  • Why in the hell do u have the 3rd best runningback in all of nfl history in 10th? go by stats and real placing.

  • @NYjetsfan2325 That's your opinion and by the way your comment looks, it makes me think that you think your opinion is the truth that Martin really is the best ever.

  • great to see jim brown at number one, where he belongs. but gale sayers needs to be much higher. a good question to ask for these kinds of things would be: which player would you draft for your team? so i seriously doubt many would pick emmitt smith over o.j. simpson for example, or faulk or tomilinson over the incomparable gale sayers.

  • @MrYuhaten Running back is split into two different categories, halfback and fullback. You need to learn football, dont assume you know everything about it because clearly you do not.

  • Excellent top three. A few factors to add. Gale Sayers was averaging over 6 ypc before his knee injury. Making us wonder what could of been if he had a normal career. Payton did marvelously early on given his line, but later when he had a good line in the 80s he still didn't out produce Brown. Also most record setting backs made their marks after the 1972 rule changes (i.e. Simpson in 73). Brown did all these things in an era, where conditions made it harder for backs to set records.

  • @stormblast49 It's really hard to make a list like this...I personally think Walter Payton is the most complete running back ever but he's 3rd on my list. I had a lot of trouble ranking him that low. Bottom line......these lists are HARD to make.

  • @stormblast49 I agree with you on Sayers; maybe the most exciting player I ever saw. Most forget he was incredible with returning kickoffs and punts also; I believe the day he had 6 touchdowns 2 or 3 were on kick returns. A shame he blew out his knee.

  • Full Back is considered a running back position. They just don't run alot anymore due to the emphasis on The I formation (not a good offense for a FB to run out of). But any HB, FB, or slot back or wing back is considered a running back. Hell, some would even consider a QB a runningback in an option offense. I doubt they should be considered RBs. But Full Backs no question they are running backs.

  • 1.Emmitt Smith 2.Jim Brown 3.Barry Sanders 4. Walter Payton 5. Tony Dorsett 6. OJ Simpson 7. Ladanian Tomlinson 8. Eric Dickerson 9. Marcus Allen 10. Terrell Davis
  • @MrYuhaten they utilized him as a tailback... technically speaking a fullback is a running back so u get ur facts right sir

  • Who cares where he lined up as, he was the best ball carrier ever , jerome bettis was a fullback at notre dame but led the team in rushing, the role as a fullback has changed into blocking back but back in the early days the fullback was usually the leading rusher of a team, as far as backs carrying the ball jim brown was the best

  • fuck you walter payton # 1

  • Curtis Martin made the list. Awesome. The most under-rated back of all time.

  • @MrYuhaten he said running back not halfback that includes half backs fullbacks and wings

  • @madeinep oh ya your right my bad.

  • @MrYuhaten He was also a running back. I'm talking about any runner, fullback or not. Also, fullbacks don't run as often as running backs do so how can Jim Brown get so many yards? Everyone else including the NFL experts rank Jim Brown on their list of best running backs so get your fucking facts straight before criticizing me. I'm blocking your stupid pathetic ass.

  • @SlayerInBlood He played when a two back system was more common. fullbacks carried the ball more often than halfbacks and marion motley was also a fullback

  • @SlayerInBlood amen!

  • He was also a running back.

  • jim brown is not the best walter payton is.

  • @punkgal98 This may not make sense me saying this but I agree with you. I had a hard time ranking the top 3. I think it's a 3 way tie.

  • motley and curtis martin can easily be replaced by earl campbell and eric dickerson.... also herschel walker is an honorable mention. adrian peterson will be top 5 after he retires you can take that to the bank. and i agree about jim brown; hes the greatest football player of all time

  • I just want to let people know before they leave a comment. If you are nice and respectful in your comment then I will respond the same way. If you call me names and tell me that my list is fucking horrible then I will either block you or respond the same way that you did. I don't care one bit if you dont like my list but be mature about it and dont hate.

  • @SlayerInBlood Jim Brown is not a full back or a running back! Jim Brown is retired. Maybe both of you should get your facts straight. Unless you made this video and comments between 57 and 65. If that is the case I am sorry but I must credit you for making YouTube content before YouTube. All that said. I am not into football but the fact that he did all that in 9 years is really impressive

  • @kp1flush Really? Really? Jim Brown is retired? Wow I never knew that!!! So I guess he doesn't belong on this list since he was never a fullback or running back, he's a retired. Now I get it! Dude come on now. I wasn't speaking as if he is still playing. He retired decades ago! Football is my favorite sport so I think I would know. Fullback or running back, it don't matter! They both "run" with the ball!

  • yay jims number 1 yes!!!

  • what is this song and who sings it

  • I think you did a very good job making the list, but if you're going to include Marion Motley ( a fullback with noticeably smaller stats), you might as well put in there Jerome Bettis (that guy was BEEAAASTT!)!

  • i don't know how u don't put walter payton in at number 1. he was the greatest football player of all time.

  • 1.Jim Brown

    2.Jerome Bettis

    3.Barry Sanders

    4.Tony Dorsett

    5.Eric Dickerson

    6.Marcus Allen

    7.Emmitt Smith

    8.Red Grange

    9.Walter Payton

    10.LaDanian Tomlinson

  • Why would you put the career stats up there if this is clearly an opinion?

If you use the career stats,

you have to put years played next to them. Ladainian Tomlinson needs to start getting some respect.

  • i added career stats to let people know how good they are it has nothing to do with why i picked them

people that think i made this list based on stats mus be pretty stupid, why would i include Marion Motley? and why would i have Jim Brown 1st if im only going by stats???

  • @SlayerInBlood You went in order from least to greatest in carrer rushing yardage per carry.. Marion motley should be in the top 5 since her holds the record for rushing yard average in a game with about 17 due to 188 yards on 11 carries

  • @1001Meat The song is Trust by Megadeth. I didn't rank these players by rushing yards per carry. I just ranked them based on how great they were. I didn't even notice that about the rushing yards per carry being in order like that. But that one of the most important stats to me but I didn't rank them that way, it just turned out that way.

  • @SlayerInBlood I think the stats support Brown as #1. You have to remember he only played 9 years; 3 or 4 of those years were only 12 game seasons; the others were 14. Most yards per carry, most yards per game, led the league in rushing 8 of 9 years. (the other year he finished second with a broken wrist). There's a lot more to stats than just total yards. I missed Motley, but have seen everyone else, and Brown's clearly the GOAT.

  • @buckfan1969

Also he never missed a game in his career in 9 all pro years and 8 leading the nfl in rushing, which speaks alot as the average starting of a running back is 2.6 years and average career is under 5 years

  • nice list mine would be 10.Tony Dorsett 9. Bronko Nargurski 8. Terrell Davis 7. O.J Simpson 6. Walter Payton 5. Eric Dickerson 4. Marion Motley 3. Emmit Smith 2. Jim Brown 1. Barry Sanders
  • nice list, and thanks for not bashing mine like so many people out there do, my list isn't meant to be the official one it's just my opinion on the greatest running backs

I originally had Walter Payton as the # 1 back but i couldnt ignore Barry's amazing stats on a terrible team then I also couldnt ignore Jim Brown's Babe Ruth's numbers leading the NFL in this and that almost every year, WOW what player can repeat that these days? he averaged over 100 yards per game for his career, WOW

  • @SlayerInBlood just to let you know walter payton didnt have a good team too the lions had more o line probowlers then the bears look it up. payton played every position in offensive he even did good in qb 8 td passed 0 int. payton is probably the nicest guy in the nfl ever, but the hardest guy to take down. also you forgot red grange... he was playing in the 1930s but he is like the best hb ever... he had like 8 yard average per carry

  • @itsmybunny1 I know that Walter played on a bad team for most of his career, I did my homework. I was originally going to have him at # 1. The top 3 are sooo close together when it comes to greatness. They are all gods of that position, im not taking anything away from Payton. If i remade this video i would MAYBE put Payton 2nd. It was VERY VERY tough for me to put Payton down to 3rd. These lists can be hard to make.

  • Marion Motley was playing football with some chuck taylors on
