God and satan are not of the same nature. Satan was the angel of light, and wisdom etc. I must emphasise the word angel. The world is not of a dual good vs evil nature. I'm not so sure about satan. I think there could be a difference between LUCIFER and SATAN. Jesus is without a doubt LUCIFER. He says so himself in the book of Revelation. "I am the BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR". THe "devil" is simply an ADVERSARY. Thats what the word means. AN adversary is not necessarily evil. It just means opposition. Satan is called the DEVIL. However the bible never really speaks of him doing EVIL.

God and satan are not of the same nature. Satan was the angel of light, and wisdom etc. I must emphasise the word angel. The world is not of a dual good vs evil nature. God is of onmipotent loving nature, and Satan is the the one who rejects Love. He has no power over love. If he would have power over love then there wouldn't be any free will. We would be mere victims to the balancing of the two powers. Read Genesis chapter 1 verse 16. It shows sun is only a "greater light".

I refuse to have debates with people who would rather still believe the earth is flat rather then listen and understand that the earth is indeed round. Meaning if you cant understand or comprehand what science and history has to teach us then it is talking to a brick wall. Part of having a debate is to accept or deny claims based on FACT. I have basic astrology. The Sun appears to stop moving on Dec 22, 23 and 24, in other words it dies for 3 days then is resurrected. Sound familiar? The Sun reflects off the water, in other words it walks on water. The Sun is obviously considered 'the light'. There are 12 signs of the Zodiac, there are 12 disciples. I could go on listing the astrological allegories but why bother? You must think astrology is a lie too.

astrology is considered pseudoscience. so "rational" atheists tend to put it into the same category as creationism. also, the sun does not die. if the sun stopped producing light, then we're all dead. Jesus wasnt even born on December 25th anyway. when Jesus said he was the light, it was a pun, as well as figurative language. light is symbolic of good qualitites.

Well gods who were symbolically associated with planets and suns like Horus the falcon sky-god. Osiris, the supreme planetry god who exploded and caught fire. Ra an aspect of Osiris as the sun in his rising aspect. If you try to approach this with a "Christian mind" you'll fail to see the astro-mythology unfolding beautifully. It all makes perfect sense when you discard the erroneaous "Christian" way of interpreting Egyptian mythology.

Or not? The Church fathers believed that their messiah was crucified. But it was not Jesus but Yeshua but by then the Old Testament hero Joshua was well known and would have been so central to the Church fathers. The crucifixion was added to Yeshua in Rome so that pagans would identify the messiah as a "Dionysus". This is how Christianity eventually took the empire.
