I have looked for this song all over the internet for years and finally here it is. I have spent years singing this in the shower or while driving down the road. It has always meant so much to me from the time I was a teen. I got to hang our with the band for a few hours before and after a show and remember this song more than anything else. I have missed those times.
Wow, I didnt realize that Mr. Key had passed away. I was searching for some old Christian Music (specifically the Mesa stuff) when I cam across this. The First year I was a Christian one of the few Christian tapes I had was a free copy of Rock Solid. God used that tape to grow me in so many ways. I just don't know what to say other than Thank You Jesus for the life of Dana Key.
Amazing man and songwriter. Never forget playing "I'm Accepted" & "Casual Christian" on youth retreats around the campfire, and then watched as God moved on the hearts of those kids. Thx for the memories.
you brought a style of music that encouraged my young faith, helped me to stand. as a messed up child of the sixties I will always be grateful to my heavenly Father for the music He put in your heart. miss you but will be seeing you. ONE WAY!
I went to see these guys in concert in Mount Union Pa. and it was a very bad day the main stage got flooded out but all I got to see of them was them pulling in and then pulling back out.. Needless to say I was disappointed that I never got to see them perform in person.. I went on an Internet search yesterday for the band and that's where I ran across the death of Dana Key my heart was deeply sadden I'm now 51 and these guy's were one of my favorites
Thank You Dana Key, for your Witness through music of our Christian Faith. I first heard the Degarmo& Key band back in 82' got to see them perform @ Disneyland, CA out of all places. I still listen to there music, it still ministers because it's the word of God put to music. We will All meet again one day in the Presence of the Lord, to hear you play again. Thanks for encouraging my Faith.
Thank you for Dear Mr. Clapton. When his son died this song really ministered to me also because I was praying for him too. You blessed so many with your songs and life. May the Peace of God that passes all understanding keep your family, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He is the Keeper. Amen.
