i played the song in the key of A, so i capo 2. If you want to play it in the same key as Chris Tomlin does, play it in the key of C, which means, capo 5th fret

you're referring to the B during the bridge right? yup, i play it without my pinky. but if you ask me, you could play if with the pinky if you feel it sounds better or if you want to. you don't have to be so rigid about all these things :)

As a form of tough love i say, there are tons of things you need to work on, esspecially your vocals. Humility is key to progression and true worshiping, Anways, just lookin out.
