I don't know, with all my preferences for Fujin, he kinda always struck as "male Sindel" of MK4. I mean, the long white hair, the skin lift with the help of air, the flying victory pose... Can you really say that he wasn't just a copycat of earlier fighters, i.e. Kung Lao and Sindel?

I love the wind staff! It's as unique as Raiden's staff; I wish they'd been able to keep it in. The Devastator doesn't fit Fujin's personality or his fighting style at all.

I really hope Armageddon marked the end of Raiden and Fujin becomes the main god of MK9, or if not, the two of them together again. Fujin is underused and a great Kung Lao-type character.

Raiden and Fujin are brothers. It says so in the MK4 strategy guide, and they are based off the japanese mythological gods raijin and fujin who are also brothers.

He was so good in MK4. He was one of the bests. I dont regret them using the crossbow as a weapon, it was pretty unique to have a shooting weapon for a change. In MKA he kind of sucks because hs syle is weak and hard to string together a good combo. I like how the old games everyones style was similar that way you dont have any 1 character that has a really good style, like Sub Zero and Johnny Cage in MKA.

One thing is, MK3 said that the protector of earthrealm can't be in outworld. That's why Raiden wasn't in 3, and Fujin in 5 and 6.
