I was born in 1987, and have loved disney ever since I can remember. This put the biggest smile on my face. Thank you for sharing. I will being going to Disney in less than two months, and I cannot wait. I get just as excited now, as I did in '92, '94, '96...... :)
Does anyone know where I can find the original Disney Information video? It had a song in it- the lyrics were " where can you go to enjoy the day, share the world with a simple smile? Where can you go to dream the dreams that you dreamed your whole life long? Where can the older folks and the younger folks together share a happy song? Disney World, Disney World it's a brighter day. American apple pie will always stay, with little children's laughter balloons and a big parade it's a brighter day"
This video is incredible! I remember watching this as a kid during disney vacations, and I swear that I have had that jazz guitar song loop from the dinner show section stuck in my head for twenty years. Thanks so much for posting this!!!
fantastic vids! I used to watch this repeatedly perched on the edge of bed as a little kid while my parents "recovered" from each day's adventures. For me, this represents the "real" WDW.
What happened to Walt Disney World Village? Does that still exist? Is it incorporated into something else now? Was the Grand Floridian not yet conceived?

What a delightful blast from the past. I first went to WDW in '89 and have lots of great memories staying at the Polynesian.

This was the real WDW before Eisner and Co. ruined it. Maybe Eisner's first controversial move was the Michael Jackson movie.
This video is awesome, though. As I recall, the narrator heard here replaced a famous Disney voice in '86 or '87.

Yes, he ruined it by keeping the Imagineers from being fired and saving the company from a hostile take over

Grand Floridian, if I remember right, was early nineties, this is a mid eighties production.

it is now called Downtown Disney. Most of the original shops have long since disappeared
