singing in a play is different than singing in a chorus or on american idol. You're supposed to talk-sing in plays, and sing-sing in other stuff. I think she did great for this part. Could other people have done better? Sure. Could other people have done worse? Of course. BTW, if you've never sung in front of an audience or had to memorize this many different songs for one show, you don't have room to make a negative comment.

@NWBlove What? I'm sorry, there are certain musicals where it's not acceptable to talk-sing. Maybe this particular song could be considered an exception, but they're called musicals for a reason. Talk singing yourself through some of the ballads from South Pacific Oklahoma, The Music Man, Phantom of the Opera, etc will just NOT WORK.

The only lead part I can think of that can go through an entire show talk-singing is Henry Higgins from My Fair Lady.
