@ifutureman I don't know - it's more interesting than modern videos that show everything except the band performing and contain maybe 1,000 edits instead of nice long takes as here.
hsi brother jim miller was a white hendrix in the making. it's too bad he had to leave us so soon. jim miller was so much heavier than his brother steve when it came to his creative writings.
Holy crap! Where did you find this? I've been looking for this for decades! This was a promotional video, by the way, made for use in European movie theaters, in a pre-MTV world. I was there......
Anyone know who the band is here? It must be Gary Mallabar on drums. And I assume Norton on the harmonica and harmonies. Is that Lonnie Turner on bass? That guy had amazing bass lines
Where did you get that JEWEL my friend? one year after your question about to post more rare Miller studio version my answer is YES, PLEASE DON'T HESITATE I BEG YOU!
Looks like Steve is still developing his version of the song. Got kind of a southern rock feel to it. Seems like there is a little more influence from Paul Pena's original version in this one than the version he ended up releasing.
@sgtpepper1138 Hey that's really cool you got to see his old studio. I live in Oregon and didn't even know he had a studio in Oregon. Does he live in Oregon still? Where is his old studio?
@moogiein fo Nice song selection, but the sound quality sucks big cock!!

Jeeez.... they took the trouble to make a promo video, and then the camera work is total crap. Nonetheless, it's an interesting relic.

Who's the guy in the hat on harmonica?
STP43FAN1 9 months ago
@STP43FAN1 I'm 99% sure the harmonica player is Norton Buffalo (or a dead ringer for the guy).

@CitySkin09 Boz Scaggs played guitar for The Steve Miller Band for quite some time.
