"Laika" it is used to describe a style of greek music. Means popular, but the real meanings is more like "cheap", easy songs for the people. Back in the 50's when this style started to become popular, was cult and played in more ermm.. underground places for the poor people. Still some of Laika songs are created by great Greek Composers and Poets, so not really cheap :)
