Ok, so some of the dance could be tighter--but I think that's more a result of the different sized bodies--the very small, young kids--but probably more in keeping with the spirit to have them.
Still, they would give the better suburban kids (who probably have years and years of professional dance, and all the best equipment, etc) a run for their money.

The south shore drill team was started 30 years ago in Chicago, in a predom black neighborhood and have performed all over the world. Now if some non blacks want to participate than can, but how many of them are willing to come into a black neighborhood and actually join? Enjoy the video and stop race baiting. Its not that deep

@noland628 it happens all of the time. there are parades for everything. in chicago we have the bud biliken parade coming up...the largest african american parade in the country. we have had chinese floats, mexican mariachi bands, and other cultures represented. unless they are coming with white hoods on then its no problem. u clear people read to much into things

in my opinion .. the South Shore Drill Team from Chicago should have been in the Obama Inauguration parade. I've seen them in person more than once .. and they were the greatest drill team I've ever seen.

you are telling the truth, one have to see them perform in person and they are the 'highlight' in the Bud Billiken parade and they never, I say never wear the same uniform every year. There costumes match whatever theme that they are performing and it is awesome. They gotta see them in person like I said.
