James Garner = Top shelf actor! We were fortunate to have him in our generation. ROckford files and Murphy's romance will always be my favorites.

I can only imagine what my very first impression of James Garner was the first time I ever saw him in Maverick. It started a love affair & respect that has lasted well over 40 years now. I don't think there has ever been , nor will there ever be another one like him, (although I do compare Bruce Willis to him), he has that certain style & charisma that keeps me held.

Its his mildness, and his easy depth.  He can engage you without swamping you with his own self, and he can let you engage him without overreacting to you. That is the source of his charm, of Bruce's charm, and, if don't say so myself, my own charm. ;)
