Now if you go to army dont you have to serve 5 years unless you get drafted?

This is correct. However, due to Department of Defense rules you must serve 2 years active before going to play if drafted. This is why Caleb Campbell can no longer play this year.

Remember though, going to USMA you are intending to be an Army office 1st and player 2nd. Most go here intending to be career officers.
