  • star wars racer us ridiculously good. I'm gonna say that twilight princess's overworld was dearly missed in skyward sword. I dont care if it adds nothing to the game, but skyward sword had no exploration. it was very very linear. I hope the next zelda is a lot more open world. More powerful hardware next generation should help them render larger open worlds.

Also, the dungeons in skyward sword dissapointed me in that there were 2 fire temples and 2 time shifty temples. Not enough variety.

  • I actually prefer the Twilight Princess map/overworld (whatever you want to call it), and the graphics. I prefer Skyward Sword overall, just because the dungeons feel really well designed and the Motion Plus integration, as well as most of the points you mentioned. The one thing I REALLY miss from Twilight Princess is how you can put your sword away in that really cool swishy way when you kill an enemy XD

  • @charbok I couldn't agree more about the music in Skyward Sword

  • got the same hoodie

  • @DeltaOmegaEpsilon85 Great hoodie.

  • I think the darker art style in Twilight Princess was almost a direct reaction to the "Celda" backlash. I imagine Aonuma saying "*sigh* fine... we'll give you this and see how much you like it". And once this project started, his thinking was something like "well we did that style, now let's get back to actually doing things right." People criticize the past few Zelda's for "just trying to top Ocarina," but it might, in truth, be the fans who helped keep it that way...

  • @coolioman9606 The amount with which I agree with your comments is staggering!

  • I totally agree. As one who has played Skyrim, Uncharted 3, and Skyward Sword your points are spot on. Not that I don't love Skyrim or wasn't enthralled by Uncharted's acting and action, but Zelda ultimately has them beat because of its art style, attention to detail, and, ultimately, the gameplay. Skyward Sword is basically Nintendo's "See? Told you so." game. It proves it doesn't need realistic graphics, or traditional controls to be epic.

  • nuts

  • One of the major things lacking in Twilight Princess is its score, because most of it is midi (it's still an amazing score for the record). With Skyward Sword's fully orchestrated score, you feel more immersed in the world, or cinematics. Boss fights feel more epic, while other parts feel more emotional. That's just my opinion anyway

  • @menoseloso119 Oh man, isn't it fantastic? TP had some brilliant songs, but the depth to the beauty of the music in Skyward Sword is so wonderful.

  • You need background music. Very quiet background music.

  • @KantraScepter People tell me this all the time! I'll have to finally do it for the next video...

  • I am 20 hours in and thought i think skyward sword is an amazing piece of work i just am not getting the impact i had when i played twilight. I dont feel for any character like i felt for midna. I have not had a boss battle or cut scene that was as dark or atmospheric as twilight. I loved the twilight realm and there is nothing in the skyward that has left an emotional impact on me. They r both amazing games but i just felt more for twilight

  • @gvangoeverden Huh... Well, to each his own! Aside from the story, is there anything you prefer about Twilight Princess?

  • You're just nuts.

  • @zekesmith Oh nuts.
