I wish AMC would have made it! They were on the right track with the Javelin/AMX and Jeep lines, very competitive if not superior styling to the Mustang, Camaro, Firebird, Barracudas of the day. Then they came out with things like the Pacer, the Matador, and their misguided alliance with and influence by Renault....

Good job... semi junk into a GREAT ride! Loved the sounds during the driving portion. I'm in the process of buying a '68 390/4spd AMX... condition about 2/3 the way between what you started with and how you finished.

damn good job on the resto. theres one sittin like that in Martinsburg, West Virginia. just sittin at a storage facility. i called but its not for sale. theres 3 60s thunderbirds with it also not for sale. pisses me off that they just let them go to waste. great job on the car tho

nice car , the 68's & 69's are my favs . I've had mine almost 30 yrs now . It's well used and abused . Check it out , search AMX Thumper and turn up the sound .

Looks vert nice. Great job on the resto. My bud here completed his with a 290 last year and he loves it. He had one as a teen and sold it. He found the one he has now on E-bay and named her Maria. Once again great ride.
