  • NICE TO STUMBLE ON HUNTSVILLE!!!!

    Muscle Shoals!

  • This was essentially comparing the 2 valve motor to the 4 Valve Cobra motor, with the two cars being essentially same weight. The cammer was faster at the top end of the strip, but about neck-and-neck all down the track...so this is the fairest comparison I've seen

  • i used to have a 93 Crown Vic. best car ive owned...

  • @Bongwater123 I have a 1995 crown Vic, with 104k miles on it right now..I love the car, runs perfect..I need to do cosmetic work on it like AC Compressor needs replaced and tires and stuff, but it still looks brand new.

  • cool, i wanna see more!

  • For all who watched this video. I'm in the planning stages of putting a built 5.4L modular motor in the car. There will be a part 2!!!!

  • cool

  • where are you dipshits coming up with cadillacs and mustangs?

  • Huntsville dragstrip! Awesome! I'm gonna run my 300M Special there this summer.

  • Crown Vic FTW

  • closer than I thought it would be,,,the Crown vic must be a Police intercepter..

  • marauder won!!

  • Marauder Bodied That Crown Vicky Bets Believe It 302horsepower/260horsepower You Do Tha Math (Audio Preview Voice)

  • what was your e.t.'s?

  • the caddy win

  • Caddy?

Ford Crown Victoria VS. Mercury Marauder.....

  • What caddy? Read the title again plz.

  • Actually the maurader motor is made of aluminum which makes the car substantially lighter and quicker to take off....but the p71 will beat it in the long run

  • GO CROWN VIC!

  • sibling rivalry

  • u can clearly tell that the marauder took off faster

  • Mike79ill how actuallt would u know the marauder is light footing it. honestly the gearing the cars have makes all the difference. for example the p71 can and usually comes with a 3.55 / the merc has about a 2.70. and the p71 only has 250 in 08. But futhermore we dont even know what this p71 here has under the hood.

  • The Marauder's do not have 2.70 gearing. That is closer to what a Grand Marquis has (I believe its 2.73 to be exact). The CVPI (P71) and the Marauder are pretty evenly matched usually having 3.27 gearing stock. But the Merc has about 300 hp and the 1999 P71 has around 235hp.

Maybe the CV has a few mods (or lower 3.55 gears) while the Merc is totally stock.

Either way these cars are very quick.

  • no a 99 has about 215hp the 01-03 vics have about 239hp

  • i doubt my car puts out that much power.. i have an 01 P71 and it doesnt seem to pull all that well. i did almost walk an SRT-4 though. i think if i had more track i would have started to pull ahead.

  • Marauder comes with 3.55 gears

  • ive got a 2000 police interceptor. i raced a 06 or 07 mustang gt and about beat him if my trans didnt slip. come to baylington in arab

  • well the guy in mustang must not have known how to drive, considering the fact that is has 40 more HP, weighs less, is better geared, is more suited for racing and has the option on a Manual transmission...

  • What mustang?

  • Factory horsepower ratings are usually under the real power. The Marauder has a 4.6L DOHC with 300hp while the P71 Vic makes about 260 with a SOHC version of the same plant. The reason the race was so close is cause the Marauder was light footin it. Plus Vics,G Marqs, and Marauders are made for high way speeds not drag racing. Top Speed in one of the 3 will surprize you.

  • Marauder is like 4100 lbs the p71 is like 3800

PS chargers SUUUUUCKKK i will run em on street tires all day and still win by like a BUS or 2

  • Charger R/Ts are pretty cool cars. You ought to test-drive one. What are you driving to beat up on Chargers? And if they aren't worthy then why do you keep racing them?

  • That just wasn't fair. Police Crown Victorias didn't even reach 250 horsepower until 2005. That's still short 52 of the Marauder. Damn shame the guys in charge of the Marauder weren't hired to work on the Vic.

  • All police victoria's should have got the 5.4 dual over head cam engine...But Noooooo They had to suck and leave us with a lame 4.6

(I have a used 1999) I LOVE the cars though no matter what, They are the only cars I know of that can go well over 500,000 miles with out major problems.

  • BUILT FORD TOUGH! my '88 civilian vic....365,000 and still running strong. ONLY internal repair was the intake gasket started leaking. the 5.4 DOHC would be nasty in a CV...especially if it was the S/C 5.4 out of a lightning....but those were only SOHC....still nasty though. there is a '98 and up CV that ive seen with the 5.4 lighting S/C....one bad to the bone crown vic.

  • my bad i meant to say stock mustang gt vs stock mustang cobra

  • well u had asked for it. its wasnt that bad

  • CHARGER WOULD HAD OUTRUNED THAT

  • Hell ya

  • I have a -04 cvpi (250hp)and a -03 Marauder (302 hp). The difference between those cars are big, the marauder is definitely much faster and it should be cause it has more hp. Maybe I'll put up some videos of the cars later.

  • The Mercury Marauder is just a "well-dressed" Crown Vic-Police Interceptor. Both are nice cars though. I'm sure if the Crown Vic on this video was a Police Interceptor is was most likely a "tie" , but any other version of the Crown Vic against the Marauder..., I know the Marauder won.

  • "Police" Crown Vics have the same engine as any Civvie Crown Vic. Any stock Marauder will beat ANY stock Crown Victoria, Police Package or not.

  • very true

  • ya, cuz thats like a stock mustang vs a stock mustang cobra. but the police crown vics do have a police intercepto head (i think they started doing that in 2001) so the police vics are faster than civvie vics.

  • wrong the marauder is lighter also its alot easier to dent a marauders body than a regular grand marquis.

  • Why would the Marauder be easier to dent than a GM??????

  • The Mercury Marauder has the 4.6 DOHC based off of the cobra engine, The police crown Vic has the same exact engine as any other panther chassis car with the exception of dual exhaust and an oil cooler

  • The MM has the same 4.6 as the '04 Mach 1 with a slightly different intake.

  • who won?

  • marauder shud always win, depends on driver

  • muraders are not supercharged or tweeked they have the dohc 4.6 insted of the sohc 4.6

  • thats good, considering that the Marauder is supercharged, i raced my friend in my crown vic and his dodge neon srt4 and i lost.

  • I don't think marauders are supercharged, just engine is tweeked a little to get more horses, but i could be wrong

  • no your rite the marauders arnt supercharged just tweaked

  • umm marauders arent supercharged lol and your crown vic weighs probably 2000lbs more than a neon srt4 what did did you think was gonna happen lol

  • His car is lighter, don't worry! Slap on a supercharger and he will eat your dust!

  • That's why they call it a Marauder.

  • who won?

  • WEAK!

  • My CVPI gets to 0-60 in a little over 7 seconds, no mods but extremely well maintained.

  • Don't bull shit.

  • Bone stock Marauders run mid 15s, while a bone stock CVPI will run high 15s (04-up) or low to mid 16s (98-03). Nice video!

  • i don't know - looked pretty close to me! is your CV built or was that guy pedaling?

  • Good show!

  • AHHHHHHH MAN LOL The only Crown vic vs marauder vid on the internet and the video cam sucked. AHHHHHH It coulda been so much better.

  • what was the crown vic time ? and what you got on it ?

  • for all the hype about marauders you look like u hung in there, is it a cvpi or a civilian vic

  • tight,, it looked close though lol
