  • My friends call me side show BoB too!!! Mostly when I wear my hair in a high ponytail. Thanx for the vid and I really wrote just to say that your child is gorgeous... she doesn't even look real, like something someone created on a computer! Are her eyes as bright blue as they appear to be on my computer!?! I give you permission to be fruitful and multiply ;D

  • @raward219 Aww, thank you so much! She is my heart! I think she's amazing but I am her mom so I cant help it! lol! Her eyes are very bright blue in sunlight and more light blue normally. She got them from her pops. Lucky girl! I hope to have more someday! Thank you so much for the compliments and for watching!

  • I thought that was her little sister didn't expect her to be a mom

  • @monsterlovefreak3 People keep commenting that I look so young! I feel like I need to make a video about it, explaining my age and my daughter. People often think I'm her nanny! Thanks so much for watching!

  • wow you're pretty !!

  • @JessaSiirene Thank you so much!

  • you look like you were 17!

  • @truelycold Thank you! I'll take the 10 year difference!

  • OMG! I have that bedding!!

  • @dstrtmali202 Lol! I love it! I had to find something to go with my yellow walls and this was the only thing I could find, I lucked out because its really pretty!

  • Hi! You are beautiful and so is your hair!

  • @NilzaMariaLopes Thank you so much!

  • I love ur hair :)

I have curly hair too but it gets frizzy and extremly puffy when it is dry and that's why I always straighten it , so what do u think I should do so that I can wear it curly :s

  • @TheSoukaina1991 Thank you! what products do you use when its curly? I find that putting product( gel, conditioner, mousse) in while its still pretty wet and letting it air dry helps a ton! Also try not to tough it at all while its drying, that seems to contribute to a lot of frizz for me! Let me know how it works for you!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose My god your hair is amazing! :D its so long and just wow.....One day i shall have hair your length :D

  • @Oncloudnine777 Wow, thank you! That is so sweet!

  • @TheSoukaina1991 Well, I don't mean to butt in, but my hair gets frizzy&puffy when it's dry and gel has always worked for me. Like LA Looks. Look it up, its great. You just have to section your hair off and make sure the hair is wet. It took me a long time to use the product correctly, but it looks great :D

  • @ColdHeartedRose1 Great advice! No butting in at all, Im just glad we can all get together and talk about what works and what doesn't. perfect curls for everyone!

  • @TheSoukaina1991 - Same here, its all pretty when its wet then as soon as it dry the Frizz monsters come out & it gets puffy & fluffy ! I straighten like once a month becausxe I hate it soooo much . A new hair brand that my mom found is called Mixed Chicks , Im going to try it out today when I wash thebeautiful straightness from my hair :(

  • @HelloAaliyah3 OOO, let us now how it works! I have always been curious about that brand!

  • What is your hair texture it is so pretty! :) how long did it take to grow that long?

  • how old are you

  • @kecie10 I'm 27! How old did you think?

  • @LuckyLydiaRose You're 27?

I thought you would be no older than 18

  • @LeeAnne1990 That is so funny! People have been saying that a ton recently! I dont know what it is, I think it must have something to do with my camera because I do not look THAT young in person!

  • Very nice long and currly hair.

    BRAVO!!!

  • @sweetkofee Thank you!

  • If i follow this, will my hair grow??

  • @xCutenerdx3 Everything in the video has worked for me. I guarantee that it will do the same for you but I hope that some of the tips will help. My biggest suggestion for growing your hair out is to treat it well, keep it hydrated and well conditioned, eat healthily, be gentle when combing it out and get trims when you need them. Also try to wear your hair down as often as possible. Hope that helps Thanks so much for watching!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose okaii i will follow this and i will tell you my feedback. =)

  • @xCutenerdx3 Oh, good! I look forward to hearing about it!

  • hi lydia i love your video's i was hoping you can give me a little advice i have been growing my curly hair out for like 2 years i had some highlights so know it has become quite long.but know my hair is growing out longer but i see the part at the crown of my hair is straight how is that?and if im going to grow it out longer does that mean im gonna have curly and straight hair?help!!!!please awnser?????????????????????

  • @princess36836 Hey, girly! I have that same problem! I think that when your hair gets a certain length, the weight of it pulls your roots straight! my hair gets less and less curly the longer it gets. Its a trade off, do I want long hair or big voluminous curls? That's the biggest reason I want to cut my hair all of the time. I see these girls with this amazing volume and curl definition. Good luck! I hope we both find a good balance of curls and length!

  • Hi Lydia, I just discovered your videos I'm so glad I found them!! my hair type is similar to yours but It gets extremely big & frizzy when it drys. My moms a dominican hairstylist & so I was brought up thinking that straight hair looks & is best. I want to keep my hair curly for atleast 2 weeks in the month like you do!! What do you use to keep ur curly hair tamed or stop it from getting so huge? Ps I wish I could send u pic of my hair lol thanks :D

  • @natasha2nosey Yeah, the pressure to have straight hair can really get to you sometimes! I glad you like my videos! I hope they help. I try to make sure to deep condition before I straighten my hair and right after I shampoo for the first time.I like to use olive oil as a treatment. Just put it in your straight hair @ 30min before you wash it. Also try not to wash it more than once a week when its curly, it just seems to dry it out. Let me know how it works out for you!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose Also, If you start to miss your straight hair, look up pictures of curly girls on google or tumblr. It is so easy to get inspired! There are so many gorgeous pics out there!

  • man I'm mixed with black and white, and I definitely don't have hair that long. SOOO JEALOUS! :o .

  • @ColdHeartedRose1 Lol! Isn't it funny how genetics work! We could be siblings and look completely different! I have always been jealous of the mixed kids with blue and green eyes! So pretty! My Mom has green eyes so should I right? its only fair hahaa!

  • Hello I am 12 years old I have dandruff because I shower n wash my hair too much do you have any tips??? And my hair is exactly like yours but with more swirls

  • @dlolovesyou99 Hey, I had the same problem when I was about your age! I had to start using a product called sulfur 8 which is a paste that you put directly on your scalp. I also used Neutrogena t-gel shampoo which helped a ton! I hope that helps. Let me know if these work for you!

  • Aww your baby is so beautiful and cute!!! This video is good but you should make a video on how you cut the hair because my hair is like the triangle lol and I'm in middle school so it's pretty embarrassing . Nice video

  • @selenasutherland73 Thank you so much! I actually made the air cut video and am trying to edit it now! My computer is being weird and keeps freezing so its been hard but keep checking back!

  • so can i use any herbal essence shampoo or conditioner please reply bac

  • @appleice17 Hey, sorry for the late reply! I have only used the totally twisted but I'm sure they would all work! A lot of people have advised me to stop using herbal essences due to the fact that there are sulfates and sodium hydroxide in their formulas. I'v never had any problems but thought I'd let you know. Thanks so much for watching! Keep me updated!

  • how long did it take to grow out your hair? what do you use to detangle? brush or comb? i would really like to grow out my hair, so PLEASE HELP!

  • @LexipooLuvsChu Hey, girl! I use a paddle brush to detangle, I just can't get down with a comb! hurts way too mush and takes too long! I think my hair grows @ 1/2 inch a month, maybe a little longer. Make sure to take really good care of your hair and be gentle to it. I also find it helpful to wear it down as often as possible when I'm trying to get it to grow. Hope that helps! Let me know if there is anything else you need. Keep me updated! I would love to know how your growth is going!

  • Your hair is gorgeous! Thanks for the tips! And your daughter is too adorable by the way (:

  • @EmilyAE19 Thank you so much! I hope the tips help. I have been doing my hair the exact same way for soooo long and it has always worked for me! Let me know how it all works out and/or if you have any tips to share!

  • you look so beautiful!! you are the perfectest mouther who i ever saw :))) and verry sweet child <3 :)) Good luck and 10x for the movie! XxX

  • @borqna93 Wow, Thank you so much for the amazing compliments! I try really hard to be good to my daughter and to keep my attention focused on her when she needs it. It makes it a little hard to keep up with making videos and commenting back but she is worth it!

  • How long did it take you to grow out your hair??? :)

  • @gracianalove13 Its hard to say! I think it grows about 1/2 inch a month. I did a little experiment and dyed it lighter so I could chart the growth. Its been @2 weeks and has grown a little less than 1/4 inch. I'll have to keep you updated! Thanks so much for watching!

  • I think you're so pretty, and your hair is amazing. No homo.lol.

  • @TheJloSmiles Thank you so much! You're so sweet!

  • OMG you're hair is so beautiful+ you are too! i 've got curly hair and know i'm gonna buy everything you said and do what you do!

  • @dorssafghalbax Wow! Than so much! What a compliment! I hope everything works out for you, please let me know! I just decided to do a trial of the curly girl method and switched up all of my products! I miss all of my old stuff! I just put up an update video check it out and let me know what you think!

  • you are so pretty i love your hair i have really curly hair also and i use practically all the same stuff!! i love it! (but my hair still isnt as pretty as urs!)

  • is beautiful but is so big

  • @PatriciaTiburtino I know! It is really big in this video. I have to say that I don't typically wear it like this, I like it a little more toned down especially with it being so long! Thanks for watching and for the compliment!

  • That tip you gave about wearing your hair down in order for it to grow faster, well its very very true!! i love your videos and the advice you give is for real!!! I know because I have real long curly hair. I'm so going to buy the herbal essence conditioner it seems like it would be s much cheaper and effective then a $20.00 bottle of sebastion or nexxus leave in conditioner. Thanks girl!

  • @altimablackberry Thank YOU! I really love that conditioner! I'm trying the curly girl method where you can only use sulfate and silicone free products as of now. I have to say I really miss my Herbal Essences! I'm pretty sure I'll be going back to that as soon as this experiment is over. Just checked out your channel, you're really pretty! Love your back ground!

  • Beautiful hair and girl! :) Whts ur ethnicity? Just curious...

  • @wonderwoman122 Thank you! I'm mixed with black and white. Most people are curious about it, I guess I have pretty racially ambiguous look lol!

  • What do you do in the summertime. my curls arent even that long, but my neck sweats sooo much coz my hair is so thick!

  • @xThEoNestHatFloatx Haha! I usually wear it up! In a bun or two french braids. I actually like it better in the summer because it dries faster and is less frizzy. I hate when my shirt stays wet from my hair hanging on it! Thanks for watching!

  • what do you do for dandruff?

  • @davoula666 I had dandruff really bad when I was 11 or 12 and the only thing that worked for me was sulfur 8. My mom would have to rub it in every night and it smells horrible as you can imagine! I also used Neutrogena t-gel shampoo which works well too. Now I use head and shoulder when ever I see a problem which isnt often, about once a month. Thanks you for watching!

  • Hey thank you so much for the tips and sharing the vid! I normally cut my hair my self, too and i'd love to know how you do it because I just love the way your hair is cut into layers! Would be so good if you could make a video how you do it!

  • @sprigspring Thank you for watching! I actually filmed that video and just haven't been able to find the time to edit and upload it! Soon!

  • OMG i love your hair!!!!!!!

  • @Jem4u90 Thank you so much!

  • I want to know how she grew her hair so long!! <3

  • @stealstar233 I wish I had an answer for you! Thanks for watching!

  • Before I even watch this video, I have got to say: Your hair is absolutely perfect. I would give so much, to have hair like yours! Back to the video... :)

  • @kenithiaisme Thank you! That is so sweet, and funny! I have really been loving justkellee101 lately. She has beautiful bouncy curls! You should check her out if you haven't already.

  • do you have a facebook account???

  • @princess36836 I do have a personal one but not one linked to my channel. I am on twitter! @luckylydiarose! Thanks so much for watching!

  • Hi I just subscribed to your channel and I have a question I see your baby also has curly hair what products do you use on her hair?

  • @mrsninamom4 Thank you for subbing! Her hair is actually more curly than I expected it to be! For a while I had been using suave kids conditioner and de- tangler. She gets so much frizz, tangles and breakage from wiggling in her sleep that I had to find a different solution. She now sleeps on satin sheets which helps a little. I also use Shea Moisture deep treatment masque in the bath and Shea Moisture curling souffle right after she gets out when her hair is still wet. It helps a lot!

  • You, your hair and the little girl are so beautiful! =D

  • @thnaru Thank you! She's my sweetie! I'm starting to think she may need her own channel lol! I'll give her a few years and she can decide for herself.

  • Your daughter is absolutely beautiful. :)

  • @daKsistas Thank you! She is my heart!

  • I found your channel today and subscribed straightaway. You're so beautiful and natural, I could listen to you all day long :)

  • @TheBluesunshine123 Aww, thank you! I really have a thing about being natural. I love crazy hair, make-up, sparkle, high heels etc. but I really feel most comfortable when I keep thins toned down! I may get more attention dolled up but its hard to tell if its because I look good or cray haha! Thanks so much for watching and I'll try to get more videos out soon!

  • i think thats how long i wanna grow my hair... well maybe a little shorter bcs i have curls too but mine are a bit tighter i adore yours though

  • @caranorini1 Thank you so much! I love having long hair but it can be a little much at times! I love a long ponytail but when its down it can really get in the way, e.g. sitting on it, or getting it stuck in car doors lol! keep me updated on your progress and if you have any tips for me!

  • How old are you? You are pretty btw

  • @kailes313 Thank you! I'm 27

  • are you mixed????

  • @bluelovematters Yep, my Mom is White and my dad is Black. Thanks for watching!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose lol ME TOO but my moms black and my dads white

  • @bluelovematters How funny! We have opposite families! I wonder how our experiences growing up were different because of it? Have you ever thought if the "mixed experience"? There used to be a really interesting forum called mulotto.org that had tons of discussion about it but I cant seem to find the site. I was never crazy about the name but the content was interesting.

  • pleaaaseee do more videosss!!!! i love you personality n how your REAL compared to some of the other youtubers!!! happy holidays!!!

  • @antioquiasol Thank you! That is really a great compliment! I hope you find my videos helpful, let me know if you have any suggestions or requests. Happy Holidays to you too!

  • How long is your hair? :D

  • @dominicanbbz The longest layers hit right at the waist band of my jeans. I have never actually measured with a tape measure but now I'm curious! Thanks so much for watching!

  • your hair is so BEAUTIFUL=D

  • @christinamyers2 Thank you so much! It can be a pain at this length but it's worth it!

  • how did you get your hair that long? I have the same type of

hair and it used to be that long but i cut it i want it to be long again. Please tell me how you did it.

  • @Candiez411 I wish I knew! I just let it grow... don't use too much heat and condition often. I hope I can get a few more answers for you. Keep checking back! Thanks for watching

  • r u a quarter black or half? and beautiful hair also!

  • @mulattachica89 I'm half. There is some white on my dad's side but I have no idea where or when it comes into the picture. Oh, btw my Mom is white and Dads black. Dont know if that matters. Thanks for watching!

  • How did you get your hair so long I am mixed and after I straighten my hair I have white people hair and it used to be soo long but I have to cut all the dead ends off from straigtening it and it feels like it's taking forever to grow back...can you give me some tips?? Thanks

  • @fudgymonkey1 Lol! Well, mine also looks naturally straight when I do a good job straightening it. How do you straighten it? Believe it or not when I first started straightening my hair I would use a regular clothes iron! Crazy, but it worked really well and I didn't know about flat irons at the time. It did wreck my hair for obvious reasons and I cut mine to shoulder length. I had to find a new way to straighten it and I started using a vented flat iron.Works so much better and in half the time

  • Wow your hair is long and gorgeous! (: and great video!

  • @bballover73 Thank you! Thanks for watching... I hope to make more soon and hope you like those as well!

  • Hows Your Hair So Long ! I Love It <3

  • @curlAygurl Thank you so much! I wish I had a secret hair growth potion! I'm really trying to look into my hair and lifestyle habits to see if I can find some reason for it growing the way it does. I promise to share any tips I have if I find any lol!

  • thanks for the response and, u are so right! everybody hair is differet therefore different things do u work for diff. folks=)

  • @keedaomen No problem, I may take a while to respond but I really want to thank you for watching! I know there are so many people making videos and I appreciate each person for taking a look at mine! Let me know if you have any other questions or requests

  • You're hair is so pretty, how long did it take you to reach that length?

I have the same hair type as you, but mine is shoulder length and -as usual- I really regret cutting it :(

  • @zygomats Thank you! Its hard to say. The lats time my hair was shoulder length was probably 8 yrs. ago! I really loved it but am always hesitant to cut it that short again. I have cut it to mid back a few times since then... hmm, I would have to say from shoulder length maybe 1.5 to 2 yrs? That seems so long! Don't give up!

  • You're hair is so pretty, how long did it take you to reach that length?

I have the same hair type as you, but mine is shoulder length and -as usual- I really regret cutting it :(

  • @zygomats ERRR! I always do that when I cut it! It's hard to say how long because its been this length for a while, I guess the last time I went to the salon to get it cut was @ 5 yrs ago... at that point it was a little shorter than mid back. I do trim it myself 3-4 inches every once in a while but I'd say about 1-1.5 years. Thanks so much for watching, I bet your hair is super healthy and beautiful!

  • wow ur daughter has blue eyes..wish i did too..

  • @luckypapi87 Me too! Blue or green... Oh well, at least I can look at hers lol!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose well we both have lucky in our sn's so maybe our wishes might come true..with a little bit of luck LOL!....i was born with light blue eyes..but they are hazel now...caramel brown on the inside and olive green on the rims...if that makes any sense lol...

  • @luckypapi87 It does, hazel is so pretty! One of my favorite models, Ana Beatriz Barros has kind of light hazel eyes. She is gorgeous! Yes one day maybe we'll be lucky!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose btw..ur hair DOES NOT look like sideshow bob's.....urs is nice and normal sideshow bobs looks like a chiapet thingy on steroids....it looks like what einstein might have looked like in his youth soooooo i give a big two middle fingers up for the person who told that to u lol

  • @luckypapi87 So funny! Thanks for being on my side, and for watching!

  • Hi,Nice vid! ur hair is so healthy i also have curly hair and I was thinking about detangling with a paddle brush..however, i hear brushes r harsh on you the hair..but, i find that when i detangle with a wide tooth comb when my hair is wet it seem like its pulling my hair out.

  • @keedaomen Yeah, I feel the same way about wide tooth combs. They seem to pull more hair out, take forever, and hurt! I haven't personally seen any damage from using a paddle brush. I have also heard that you should never comb or brush hair when its wet because it can damage it, but I never brush it when its dry unless I wear it straight! There are so many rules and I think the problem is that different things work for different people. I hope my tips work for you! Thanks so much for watching!

  • Your hair is stunning!!! How long did it take you to grow it that long?I have very curly hair, its like boob lengh when its traight but shoulder lengh curly...wish i had long hair like you :-)

  • @MisPaperHearts Thank you! I'd say from boob length it probably took 9mo to a year. Its so frustrating when it shrinks isn't it? It makes you never want to cut it because it seems soooo much shorter!

  • your hair is so pretty and long. :) i do curly hair videos tooo <3

  • @waterlily716 Oh, good! I'll have to check them out, maybe we can exchange curly hair tips!

  • Wow your hair is gorgeous!

  • @charissaaliyahathorn Thank you!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose your welcome :]

  • can you make a how i flat iron my hair video :D

  • @princess36836 Absolutely, I'm working on one now actually! Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose ok thanx i just subscribed :) xoxo

  • @princess36836 Love it! and I LOVE Aishwarya! She must be the most beautiful woman on earth!

  • You and your hair is so beautiful! It's so thick and healthy!

  • @mariahdances15 Thank you!

  • Your welcome, enjoy your day smooches.

  • @TheK12student Thanks so much! I'm mixed with black and white. Most people assume Mexican or Puerto Rican, which I can actually see.

  • @Meluvya16 Thank you! I try to have fun with clothes but not wear anything I'd regret later.

  • your hair is so beautiful, awww she has beautiful blue eyes

  • @indyha06 Thank you! Yep, she has her papa's eyes. Lucky! Thanks for watching!

  • your hair is so beautiful

  • Can you please do a video on how you use the spin pin?

  • @bellasong75 Sure! I'll have to buy some more first. I always seem to lose them! Thanks for the video Idea and for watching!

  • Thanks for the video ! Your daughter, and you are beautiful ! Have a blessed day !

  • @chocolatecutie2009 No problem, thank you for watching, and thanks for the well wishes!

  • I Would love to see a vid of how u trim ur hair because i have the exact same hair type as u and i need to cut off these split ends but i dnt knw if u hav to trim it a certain way for curly hair plus i love ur vids u r soo helpful! Thank u

  • @missgirlworld Sweet! I'll be sure to make a video the next time I trim it, which should be soon. Thank you so much for watching! I'm glad someone finds them helpful. I have a hard time finding anyone with my texture out in the world!

  • i am so so so so so soooo jealous of your hair length!!! gorgeous (:

  • @bbeautyQ Aww, Thank you! I'm always tempted to cut it when I see the curly girls with big bouncy curls! mine just looks crazy with so much length when I try to go big! like a big ol' hair bear!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose How long did it take to grow your hair

  • @PamelaAndEliana Hard to say, Its been this length for a while now. I'd say about a year from shoulder length. Thank you for watching!

  • did you ever straighten or bleach your hair during the time when you let it grow or do you have split ends? because I do and I have the feeling that with split ends the hair needs more time to grow (because it breaks) and it's so hard for me to let my hair grow :(

  • @13Mirjam13 Hey, thanks for watching! I dye my hair @ twice a year, sometimes more or less . I usually go between coppery brown and jet black, so I have bleached it several times. I do straighten it fairly often but try to use the least amount of heat possible. Whenever I notice split ends I do a trim and take it easy on the heat! Mine breaks off when I wear a ponytail too often, I hate the frizz it makes at my hairline! Good luck with the grow out, Im sure it is beautiful any length

  • your hair is perfect!!!! i love how long it is. how long did it take you to grow it that much?

  • @DespiteTheRandomness Wow! Thanks so much! It's hard to say how long it took me to grow it. I't been this long for a few years now. The last time I cut it to shoulder length was about 8 years ago. I have cut it to mid back a few times since then but the last time was 4 years ago. I'd say it would probably take 1.5 to 2 yrs. to go from shoulder length to where it is now. Really hard to say for sure though :)

  • your hair is perfect!!!! i love how long it is

  • Your hair is so pretty!

  • @Entrapturing Thank you, and thanks for watching!

  • have you tried the curly girl method? no shampoo/sulfates/cones? it might do your hair good

  • @ohhhshitson No, I haven't heard of it. I'll have to do some research and get back to you... hmm exciting! Does it work for you? What changes did it make for your hair?

  • @LuckyLydiaRose it SAVED my hair....I wash my scalp with a light conditioner (suave or something), use a heavier conditioner after, rinse, apply leave-in, apply curl-forming, followed by a gel, and do the "plopping method" to dry. Definitely look it up (Waterlily716 on youtube has an awesome channel about it). All products are water soluble, which means they wash out with water, and I don't need a harsh shampoo to remove anything. Plus, I use lots of oils like Jojoba, coconut, etc.

  • @ohhhshitson Wow, Awesome advice! I looked into it and I think I'm going to try it for 6 weeks starting new years day. I'm actually pretty excited and hope to do a check-in/ progress video every week. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • @LuckyLydiaRose Good luck mama! The first few weeks were bad for some, especially if you oily-ish hair, but I don't remember having any problems, and my hair adjusted/thanked me quickly ;]. Just don't give up!

  • @ohhhshitson Thank you!

  • Do you think tousle me softly by herbal essence would work the same as totally twisted ?

  • @adoreebunny You know, I actually tried that once and it didn't have the same level of hold. I thought it may leave me with softer curls but just left me with more frizz! I am always on the lookout for something that will give me bigger curls, unfortunately I haven't found it yet!

  • oh my gosh you daughter is gorgeous!!

  • @star579 Thank you! She is my HEART!
