men need to compete, but you are not competing. so grow up and watch, listen and enjoy. get the most out of this wonderful song. and be glad you got to see both legends playing together. EPIC!
Whatever you say buddy. You are fairly ignorant so I won't argue with you. It would be like scolding a retarded child who doesn't understand why you are scolding him. Do you get that point?
A very wise poster on one of these pages said that comparing artists is a fruitless endeavor, since art is in the eye (and ear) of the beholder. He said if you insist on comparing, it's best to simply say they are both better than the other, only in different ways. Love you always Stingray!!!
To all of the dipshits here that don't know blues from their own ass, both of these players are icons in blues rock and were playing together because they admired one another. Most of the idiotic comments about who is better and who was blowing who off the stage are just your immaturity showing through. They are their own players and this is just a couple of friends enjoying each other.

Now, SRV was definitely one of the most powerful guitar players, but we have to give Jeff Beck a handicap here, since hard blues rock isn't Beck's strength. If they were playing fusion, I believe Beck would possibly take center stage.
I'd feel like a genuine ass-hat if I was Jeff and had to play with Stevie. They play Jeff's Boogie too, no excuses man, Stevie's just the better player I'm sorry XD
Love the Hawaiian Isle at the end. Great fun, wish I was there. Sounds like Jeff didn't have his allen wrench with him and couldn't get the Floyd Rose quite down to Eb.
i dont know if anyones replied, but the white guitar is called charlie. it was custom made by his old tech before he died in 84. its pickups are the so called "Lipstick" pickups that Danelectro guitars make, under a slow blues jam this guitar is incredible sounding. he was known for playing this guiatr and 3 others as his main ones. besides Number 1.
pink was THE color to have a super-strat in the mid 80's. All those hair farmer metal types had one. Why do you think SRV was so cool? Because he was the first american to play a beat all to shit FENDER STRATOCASTER. Rory Gallager did before, but he was a european.
jeff don't look to fazed at all---he's enjoying his chewing gum as well

@jtomasik Beck played the blues before Stevie was thought of. The Jeck Beck Group played blues as did the the small faces.

Those are LIpstick Pickups, its where you put the coil in an old Lipsicktube. As you would still find 'em on Daneletro Guitars. Cheers

...and as it turns out, now Fender owns Jackson. Maybe soon enough there will be a Jackson Jeff Beck Artist Series.
