  • jeff don't look to fazed at all---he's enjoying his chewing gum as well

  • Jeff Beck with Jackson guitar :O

  • men need to compete, but you are not competing. so grow up and watch, listen and enjoy. get the most out of this wonderful song. and be glad you got to see both legends playing together. EPIC!

  • Whatever you say buddy. You are fairly ignorant so I won't argue with you. It would be like scolding a retarded child who doesn't understand why you are scolding him. Do you get that point?

  • @buddyrush1059 LMAO! Can you at least spell properly to insult me!! I don't know shit BTW. You missed the point entirely!

  • Stevie - we will never quit missing you!

  • Great vid....Thx a bunch for sharing this! great stuff...RIP Stevie Ray, and thx Jeff Beck for doin' what you do. Cheers!

  • Dude your father took this? Cause It's awesome.

  • @The12Child He was your age now when he took it.

  • A very wise poster on one of these pages said that comparing artists is a fruitless endeavor, since art is in the eye (and ear) of the beholder. He said if you insist on comparing, it's best to simply say they are both better than the other, only in different ways. Love you always Stingray!!!

  • To all o fthe dipshits here that don't know blues form their own ass, both of these players are icons in blues rock and were playing together because they admired one another. Most of the idiotic comments about who is better and who was blowing who off the stage are just your immaturity showing through. They are their own players and this is just a couple of friends enjoying each other.

  • hold the camera still you asswipe!

  • R.I.P Stevie. We miss you. :D

  • Now, SRV was definitely one of the most powerful guitar players, but we have to give Jeff Beck a handicap here, since hard blues rock isn't Beck's strength. If they were playing fusion, I believe Beck would possibly take center stage.

  • @jtomasik Beck played the blues before Stevie was thought of. The Jeck Beck Group played blues as did the the small faces.

  • @stonedpimpdaddy Uh... YARDBIRDS?

  • Beck shouldn't be playing blues, he just don't feel it.

  • Beck just got ripped by the master

  • @Pre00 I'm not hearing that, no way. All three guitarists knew what to do, how to do it, and when.

  • Wow i didnt know stevie played with the guy from spinal tap

  • What kind of guitar is Mr.Jeff Beck using?

  • I'd feel like a genuine ass-hat if I was Jeff and had to play with Stevie. They play Jeff's Boogie too, no excuses man, Stevie's just the better player I'm sorry XD

  • Isn't wham an old Lonnie Mack song?

  • @semitar6 Yup

  • OMG! I just slipped into a blues coma. :)))))

  • combelue you don't know shit !!!

  • stevie's shoes are sick!

and his playing is out of this world of course!!

  • It's too bad you couldn't hear him.

He probably played a pretty decent solo there.

  • fuck off

  • jeff beck is awesome but his tone is all wrong for blues

  • I think the recording is just too poor.

  • Love the Hawaiian Isle at the end. Great fun, wish I was there. Sounds like Jeff didn't have his allen wrench with him and couldn't get the Floyd Rose quite down to Eb.

  • srv the best

  • Is this really 25 years ago ?!

  • AWESOME VID!!

  • u sure this isn't like 1989 ?

  • Definitely '84.

  • Oh...and if SRV's strat is so cool...why does he have the chrome pickup gaurds...whats behind them??

  • lolwut?

  • theyre lipstick pickups?

  • Look like lipstick pickups to me....

  • i dont know if anyones replied, but the white guitar is called charlie. it was custom made by his old tech before he died in 84. its pickups are the so called "Lipstick" pickups that Danelectro guitars make, under a slow blues jam this guitar is incredible sounding. he was known for playing this guiatr and 3 others as his main ones. besides Number 1.

  • Those are LIpstick Pickups, its where you put the coil in an old Lipsicktube. As you would still find 'em on Daneletro Guitars. Cheers

  • Jeff ALWAYS kills.....shit sound?...SRV's crew.

  • Beck FAIL!

  • jeffs tone is horrible

  • jeff looks lost

  • haha he does look lost...

  • He's just deep in the pink.

  • Man those strats and strat styled guitars sound like toys.

  • way too much echo on Jeff's guitar.

  • absolute meltdown

  • JB used to love that guitar, he got Tina Turner to carve her name on it.

  • THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!!! Love these rare SRV videos:)

    1984 Honolulu, I love it.

  • Jeff on a Jackson? Have to blame it on the 80's...

  • It's not the guitar I'm concerned about... It's the color. Lolz.

  • pink was THE color to have a super-strat in the mid 80's. All those hair farmer metal types had one. Why do you think SRV was so cool? Because he was the first american to play a beat all to shit FENDER STRATOCASTER. Rory Gallager did before, but he was a european.

  • ...and as it turns out, now Fender owns Jackson. Maybe soon enough there will be a Jackson Jeff Beck Artist Series.
