  • Could you help me pick the style for my kayak? I want something with plenty of speed but is good in flat water and rough water but is also good for day touring. If you could just leave me a comment with your opinion I would love you forever

The most important thing is that the boat feels comfortable to you. I would suggest that you try some rentals or test paddle as many different models as possible. Some features I would keep an eye out for is if you want a rudder or skeg boat, safety features (ie deck lines, bulk heads, toggles). Your local dealers should be helpful. Sounds to me like you would want at least a 15' boat, unless by rough water you mean white water. Check out different forums too.

  • @jaredmantis Yeah by rough I meant white water.

In that case, I would still recommend trying a few boats out. The remix xp9 and 10 are great boats, just pick the one for your size, the bad ass outfitting is very adjustable. Dagger Approach, LiquidLogic ReMix XP and Pyranha Fusion are all crossover boats, meaning you wont be frustrated on flat water but are still capable or white water, plus enough storage to camp for a weekend, or longer if you can pack light.

  • @jaredmantis Thanks for the help
