"Thank God I wasn't on the roof floor." Ha ha ha ha...the power that business men and women the world all over wield over other people in their dogged and mutual pursuit of profit and power. LOL
The next generation of profit hungry American business men and women clearly answer to no one and are self-appointed barons. 41 years ago, on January 29, 1968 in Santa Barbara, Ca a Union Oil Co. platform stationed 6 miles off the coast of Summerland suffered a blowout. Another ecological disaster.
We've got to get the government regulators to hell out of the oil business. If it wasn't for big government and the Democrats, this never would have happened. Big goverment is to blame. Damn bureaucrats with their regulations. Asshole democrats and meddlers. Quit interfering with private enterprise. The oil business can regulate themselves, they don't need no damn regulations (I wonder what the emergency plan is for plugging deep gushers) I am sure they got one.
I have to spread the messages to religious people. We have extremely bad news from God's messagers. 2012 is going to be real threat to the world. There will be earthquakes.
Because the wide spread of greed and people breaking tenth commandments laws and allowing Gays to be married, schools to accept evolution study, turn down against religious people, etc.
To follow the joint Coast Guard, BP, Transocean and Department of Interior response to this incident, search the Web for "Gulf of Mexico - Transocean Drilling Incident" to go to the Coast Guard D8 External Affairs news site (I cannot attach the link due to security settings on this site). Site includes imagery, multimedia and the latest news releases.
Corporate Cadet Obama is a little bit unlucky, huh? Announces offshore drilling and then this happens. This thing could make the Exxon Valdez look like a soap bubble. I'm no expert but I don't see any way to stop it. Seriously - dump concrete on it? Nup. Send down a diver with a monkey wrench? Don't see it.
Yeah - Florida and California here we come. Drill Baby Drill! You notice how all the Repukes are hiding? Bank reform. Mining blasts. Refinery fires. Where's all those morons that want less regulation? If I owned an oil-rig I'd hire all Tea-Baggers and their families. I could make a lot of money off people that don't mind being expendable.
nothing like a day at the beach with oiled covered birds suffocating, petroleum burning and dead fish floating. This should really help Florida's tourist economy if we off-shore drill.
@kookiemoose its safe to say that an oil spill like this would destroy the majority of the economy in the city I live if something like this happend on the Florida coast. Frankly, I consume very little oil and would be happy to never buy another gallon of gas again. Off shore drilling isn't only dangerous for the ecosystem and environment but its also not an effective solution to meet domestic demands for consumption or a realistic way to lower prices at the pump.
@daderone Hell, it's a tourist attraction now. Let the children see what their adult counterparts are doing because, darn it, that's what they want to do and no one can tell them otherwise. Yay! Sing, children: "Drill, baby, drill!!!"
this is the stupidest thing humans are doing

This is not going to solve anything.. They can fix it if they really wanted to. Anyone that thinks differently has not done their homework.

EMERGENCY call::
all able fishermen and women, go out and fish, fish and fish...right now
reasons: save the fish from destruction, better to use for human consumption, and store for future shortage. Do it now.
The regulatory rules on limits need to flex in this emrgency time.
Fish fish fish now.

@Tobacc0 monkey wrench would work but he needs to have a beach towel to mop up all the oil and maybe a couple of screwdrivers

@flamegod7 is that what the oil You use tells you,
or is that just conjecture?

@kookiemoose I don't use oil, so it doesn't apply to me.

@daderone so it is safe to say that the oil YOU use should not come from a place you use it?
