VW used to have VR5's in Europe, and it was a great engine. VR engines only have one bank of cylinders not two like a V engine which is why they could get away with a VR5.

Audi TT's are 1.8t's They come in two variations 1.8t fwd and 225 1.8t quattro. They do not come with vr6's
