  • Awesome demo. I just ordered mine a few days ago =]

  • how much this cost for 2G iphone and does itneed wifi or internet?????????????

  • The iGPS360 module is $75 from Orange Gadgets (Google for it) and it doesn't need WiFi or internet if you use an AppStore app or xGPS with downloaded maps.

  • @pmgriphone but see i jailbroke mine and go tthe app called"GPSSERAIL" ad it lets me choose wich devices i can use like the 360 Mudule or the iphone module etc, now how do i get that wroking

  • You first need to get the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets which is the actual GPS receiver. Without it, it won't work.

  • so that u said is about 75$?

  • yes

  • oh ok kool so after that is dhu wrk from then

  • I just ordered a 32g for my ihpone 3gs, Is there a difference between the 32 and 64? Do I need to order a 32gig unit because my iphone is a 32 gig, (I know dumb question but I couldn't find the answer on the website) or can I order one with 64gig memory?

  • No, there is only one iGPS360 module and it works on all devices. We just inquire what device you have in order to track sales and popularity among devices.

  • Wow! This is the first GPS unit for the iPod touch that doesn't need WiFi! I want one...

  • Just get the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets.

  • they are 75 bucks

  • do yo need wifi for this to work???

  • No, you don't need wifi if you download maps and directions in advance to your iPhone/iPod.

  • hi, can I use this with other apps?

  • Yes, some other AppStore apps will also work with the iGPS360 module if you have GPSSerial installed.

  • For this you have to jailbreak your ipod touch and get xGPS from your Cydia search box this is so lame -_-

  • Hi dude!! this is really good, but, i got a problem, i already download maps, on the manager, and already have on my ipod, how can i make a route on the ipod, like yours....

  • Just click on the little wrench on the map (in the bottom center) and it will take you to the routes manager.

  • Any help how come when i use my GPS maps app after a few seconds my screen turns dark and i cant see it anymore i have to tap the screen again to make it brighten any help? so i can view it contionusly without tapping it everytime

  • Not sure. Are you using xGPS? If so, make sure to turn sleep mode off.

  • I had the same freezing problem in version 1.2.5. Version 1.2.6 seems to work fine, at least for me. Maybe the bug is not completely fixed yet. I suggest you revert to version 1.2. for now.

  • Forgot to add that it on a iPOD/Touch 1st gen

    with 2.2firmware..

  • Hey pmgriphone, I have the iGPS360 its awsome until the new upgrade to xGPS-1.2.5 &.6... the program is having issues with this module... Some got a fix with deleting a xGPS preference file and doing a restall... I did that 4 times but still crashing.. as soon as it Aquires a signal it starts lagging and skipping blocks & then just completely freezes..Mathieu is wrkng on fix. Do you know anything about this situation??? Thanxxx--

  • Can you explain how I can get the features from the xGPS that you have??? Do I have to have Cydia?? Where do I start??

  • You need to jailbreak you phone and then install the xGPS application through Cydia (just do a search in Cydia for xGPS)

  • Can I assume I have to JB my phone to get the spoken turn by turn features. I bought XGPS thinking these features as well as night settings came with????

  • You have to jailbreak your phone. You bought xGPS software?? The software is free and can be installed through Cydia on a jailbroken phone. The current version has voice and night view.

  • Yes I bought it......like I said I just got the phone and don't know all the secrets. I just found another YT page that walks you thru the JB.....The cost of the xgps was cheap no big deal....I know they have a free app but didn't think it had all the features.......thanks for the quick reply! wow thats great.......I have some reading and watching of videos to do!!!

    Mike

  • xgps manager has major problem. After i select a region and click download, it would always be stuck around 75%.

  • For xGPS manager, it is best to download maps in small pieces, starting with the single zoomlevel 0, then zoomlevel 1, then zoom level 2-7 since zoomlevels 0 and 1 take a lot of time to download. Once you have done that, add another piece to the map and grow your map larger. This leaves the least chance of haveing xGPS manager lock up.

  • i bet every user will be very happy if you show a tutorial video on how to upload the files from the xwave software into a iphone or itouch.

  • I will see if I can shoot another video. Uploading is actually very simple. Just put the iPhone/iPod inside of the xGPS application in wireless transfer mode and then send over the maps from the xGPS Manager software on the desktop. It will then transfer the maps through WiFi.

  • i just ordered this item for my iphone 2g today, can't wait. I have two question: 1) will it also work on a jailbroken itouch if i purchased the iphone version. Second, i don't have unlimited data plan. so how do i download the route map in advance. thank you. i hope the module will work great

  • There is only one version of the module and it will work on both iPhone and iPod Touch (the other information you only enter to give us an idea of how many people buy for what device). You can download maps in advance on your desktop with xGPS manager from Xwaves.

  • do we still need wifi on the ipod touch 2g if we bought the iGPS360

  • You don't need wifi. You can download maps and directions in advance before you leave home. You just can't recalculate your route when you are on the road as that requires wifi.

  • This app is awesome! I tried it with my iPhone 3G's built in GPS unit. Still, there are some things I don't completely understand yet. Do you know if there are any instructions for xGPS somewhere on the webb? I can't get voice navigation to work. Is this because the current version of xGPS on Cydia doesn't include this feature?

  • Voice navigation is not in the current version that is on Cydia. It will be in version 1.2 which is scheduled for release in sometime in February.

  • OK, thanks a lot!

  • will it work with the iphone 2g too?

  • Yes, the iGPS360 module from Orange Gadgets is specifically made for the iPhone 2G and iPod Touch.

  • Not this software, 1.2 only in 20 February. :(

    I have iphone 3G.

  • Congratulations! I bet its quite nice! Cant w8 to have it!!!!! YOU RULLE!!!

  • You can order the module in Orange Gadgets online store and download the software through Cydia.

  • Ok Thanks

  • Where DId You Get It?How Did You Get It

  • It is the Orange Gadgets iGPS360 unit. Just do a Google search for Orange Gadgets and it will pop up right at the top. You can order from the website (just ignore the security certificate warning after you click on Order in the top menu bar).
