I went to Finland through Rotary in 2003-2004. BEST year of my life!!! I made friends with Brazilians there and some of them lived here in NY with me this summer. I've been all over the world thanks to Rotary.
I was Rotex to Finland 26 years before these photos, but Karkku looks JUST the same (exc we had no Japanese or Brazilians!) and oh how I remember that long bus ride to Lappi and the amazing light while Xcountry skiing at Sariselka. I could have been in so many of these photos! lol. I still speak Finnish and have been back twice. Looking forward to meeting up with host family #4 in Rome next month. Cherish your memories. How do you think your experience Suomessa changed your life?
